We should have the edge at QB and on the lines next year. They're losing 6 of their top 8 on the DL and 4 of 5 OL starters. UGA will still be very talented but will be relying on their juniors and sophomores to step up. There are only 9 seniors on the roster including 2 transfers. They'll have freshmen in the 2 deep at QB, C, OG, DT, DE and CB.

When units are decimated by exits the new groups have to learn to play together. ^^^^ is good for us. We should have more continuity but we don't catch georgia early. They will have time to learn to come together as a team. Nonetheless, good news. Our defense was really good end of season. I hope we start the season with so much energy. Was great to see our team devastate LSU's offense.

IMO, their time has come and gone. I don't think they will be a problem for us.

The luster is definitely beginning to fade a bit for that program and for their HC. I can't wait to square off in Jax this year.

UGA just needs to find a good QB to be back as a title contender. Maybe Stockton can step up or maybe it'll be top150 RS frosh Puglisi or top150 frosh Montgomery. They still have an uber-talented roster and will find a QB sooner or later. We need to strike now!

We had a really good shot at beating them this year before DJ went down.

When you have the talent stockpiled like uga and Bama have done, there is a lot of high caliber talent leaving, and then your quality depth is no longer there. Bama and uga each had seasons that showed it. I think we're poised to take advantage of that. Remember, Etienne going to uga was supposed to be an upgrade for them. His going certainly turned out to be an upgrade for us.

If Gunner gets hurt, they will have to rely on freshman and redshirt freshman who have never taken a snap before. That's a possibility since Gunner is a runner.

I would say past time. Last year was a huge opening for us to make a move with the SEC being so down. One or two teams are likely to be hugely improved even if it is not Uga. We have to hope Lagway and receivers make a huge leap forward and that UF has made a wise choice with staff on D while filling depth with transfers on that side of the ball.

They just re-stock. I doubt they are too worried about having quality Depth:

Worried enough that Kirby cries about other teams being able to pay more than he can for his 2’s and 3’s.

With NIL and the portal ug is starting to remind me of fsu's downfall. With all things being equal Kirby is still an average/mediocre HC imho. IF CBN can have the team even mostly healthy I like our chances. It's CFB and the tides always turn, eventually. NIL and the portal murdered KS's and bama's stranglehold on the SEC and the chickens are coming home to roost.

Speaking of UGA... Carson Beck is now entering the transfer portal in lieu of the draft. I think it's either Miami or Oregon. If he's smart, it's Oregon.

Bobo may be a mediocre OC and a mistaken hire but Smart is definitely one of the best CFB coaches right now. He's absolutely dedicated to UGA and excelling at his job even to the point of coaching vs Notre Dame when he knew his dad was dying.

Well sure, but if all things are equal my house is the same square footage as the Taj Mahal. But all things aren't equal including HC skill so he's one of the best in cfb right now.

Let’s not get ahead of ourselves. Smart is still one of, if not the best coach in the country. And he’s still recruiting like a mad man. The gap is closing though. It does feel like a slight pendulum shift. If only DJ didn’t get hurt during that game, who knows what could happened.
