Time for Conservative and Liberal U.S. Teams in International Competitions?

    In sports like soccer and basketball I don't disagree, the liberal U.S. athletes would have the advantage. There are plenty of other sports though like golf, equestrian, shooting, weightlifting, rowing, archery, polo, etc. where the conservative U.S. athletes would absolutely put a butt whooping on the liberal U.S. athletes. Are you ready for that?

    And then who loses there? The liberal women who have tried to train their whole lives for that moment only to be snubbed because they can't compete against a man.

    At the least the conservative women would actually get to play since we understand what a woman is and what a man is.

    We should do this with movies, TV shows, literature, art, and music too. Conservatives can have the conservative entertainment and liberals can have the liberal entertainment.

    I can’t even fathom how boring life would be for conservatives.

    Please, share the whole picture with me since you think I can't see it.

    Let me ask you this directly. Assuming you are liberal, let's say a U.S. athlete won gold in the Olympics and came right out and said "I think abortion should be illegal with no exceptions for rape, incest or health of the mother and I think all gay and lesbian marriages should be annulled and gay/lesbian marriage should be illegal again".

    Would you support that U.S. athlete? Would you consider that U.S. athlete to be representing you? You know you wouldn't, your side would be ripping them apart.

    They look like a lot more fun to hang out and have a beer with than 99% of liberals, that's for sure. Would definitely rather hang out with them compared to liberal "athletes" like Megan Rapinoe or Brittany Griner.

    There are two main differences between the olympics of old and today. Professionals can now play in it AND it is more common for players from one country to play for another. That last one is the biggest issue for me. I guess if you feel you won't make the American team, you can go to a country that has crappier athletes and get in.
    But the OP is ridiculous.

    What about the ending of the Olympics led you to this epiphany?

    Because, with the caveat that I didn’t pay a huge amount of attention to the last few days, nothing about it seemed terribly controversial to me.

    I just explained how you don't see how much you are contributing and practically begging to make politics be ones morality and identity.

    You see "the other side" as something different from yourself entirely because they hold views different than your own, then claim "they" are trying to divide us.

    Thinking differently is fine. It's normal and healthy. We should have different ideas competing in a democracy. Instead, you want to have those different ideas removed from "your" society. Then you shout "they're dividing us!"

    I'm not entertaining your fanciful hypotheticals

    Oh yes because Conservatives have never created art, literature, music, movies or TV shows. Because Conservatives have no imagination right?

    Look at your Liberal Hollywood. Not many original ideas coming out of there for movies and TV shows anymore. Most of what Liberal Hollywood puts out now is pure junk. More concerned about politics and changing characters' race and gender than good storytelling.

    And don't even get me started on comedy. I don't care for Fox News but Gutfeld is far better than any of your Liberal mainstream late night comedy shows, which haven't had any genuine comedy in years. Just political actors for the Democrat party at this point. At least before they roasted both sides.

    Given what you Liberals are putting out, I welcome a more Conservative influence in Hollywood. It definitely won't be worse than what you Liberals are putting out now. I think it would far better and deep down you know that too.
