It still floors me that you continue to refer to Walz as the cowardly lion while supporting the candidate who used his father's influence to wrangle a medical deferment ensuring that he would never serve in the military. The same guy also referred to those who did serve as "losers and suckers" and ridiculed those who served in Vietnam by referring to avoidance of STDs as his personal Vietnam.

Please point out the part of the letter by the 51 IC members where they say it's definitely Russian disinformation I'm guessing you never actually read it because they clearly state they don't know if the emails are genuine or not.

Nice try Mike. You know as well as I do that Biden used it during the debate to say that these 51 IC members claim that the laptop story was a fake. I don’t recall if he said it was Russian disinformation but since they blame everything else on that I’m going to say there was a good chance. What was really funny was that Merritt Garland after a long tirade about Russia trying to interfere with our elections claimed, oh by the way, we’ve discovered a plot by Iran to assasinate former President Trump. It was at the end of a very long discussion about be on the lookout for Russia saying mean untrue things about Kamala. Barely a mrention of the plot to kill Trump. This from the same Biden administration that refused to provide Trump with additional protection in the face of this threat. And now we find out that many of the secret service agents sent to perfect him were from homeland security and not trained secret service agents.

Never seen a VP candidate attacked so vociferously as Walz. Obviously it's because he is smart, strong, proven, likable, and a huge threat to the pubbies. So much fear and desperation.

Over at The Pub they have a rename a movie thread. I made this pic to post on that thread but got to thinking it might be a little too political for Pub rules.

Unfortunately, there isn't a public mugshot but if a DUI conviction over 28 years ago should disqualify Walz, I assume that you didn't vote for this guy when he ran for the presidency twice.

Much like the case of Bonespurs vs the guy who's daddy had his doctor that had signed the permission slip to play football issue him a draft deferment as soon as his student deferment ran out. It is interesting how similar actions by different sides are looked at differently isn't it?

My point wasn't that Bush's DUI should be held against him. It was a mistake that he made 24 years before he ran for the presidency. By 2000 the 1976 DUI was more or less irrelevant. Apparently you do not think the same standard should apply to Walz since you're the one who posted the meme with the mugshot from Walz's 1995 DUI. The difference between Biden and Trump is that Biden didn't have his father wrangle the medical deferment and that according to the explanation Biden's deferment was for asthma. If he had an attack while playing football he could receive immediate medical attention. No so if he was a combat situation.

Oh I know first hand how draft deferments went back in the 6os-70s. My father was a wealthy man with lots of friends. My older brother had a heart murmur as a baby that had cleared up long before he became draft age. A local doctor told dad he could get my brother a deferment if he wanted. Apparently that stuff was pretty common back in the day but is seldom mentioned unless your name is Trump.

Because very few people draft dodgers wrap themselves in false patriotism to the degree that Cadet Bonespurs does?

Edit: Also, what do we think Bonespurs was thinking when he planned the farcical photo above? Probably something like "I'll do a picture of me actually kissing a flag and those simpletons will buy it, LOL. They'll think I'm patriotic, just because of this crap."

I think some guy may have written an obscure song that briefly touched on deferments during the Viet Nam war.

Just for enjoyment and reflection (flashback) for those who remember the time, another song that was popular with the folks who served in SE Asia.

They say when trumph does the accordion hands it means he's lying. The humph creatives locked up in their attack forced to come out with new and outrageous claims are working overtime. Is this this week's talking points? I can't keep up.
