Yes… it all has been discussed. I wasn’t intending to re-open the endless debate on another thread… but that is inevitable.
I found it interesting that Brando was taking up for Mike so strongly.

Let's take this for what it is. Less of an endorsement of CMW than it is a dig at FL fans. Pi$$ing off FL fans gets clicks, after all.

At best it gives him one more Hail Mary season. And I truly mean Hail Mary. Injuries or last-minute squeaks into the tourney aren't going to cut it.

I am still hoping he truly finds his coaching niche at this level. But it feels like he is Muschamp 2.0. Why did I call him Muschamp and not Mus-take? Because Mus-take opened his damn trap when he became the DC at Auburn when he had no business. I seriously doubt Mike will do that. He deserves the respect.

    But if he does...

Eh…. If I wanted “clicks”, Florida basketball probably wouldn’t be the path I’d choose.

i had breakfast with Brando once …. Many years ago during the SECt. Nice enough guy in person, and showed a real affinity for Florida basketball. I found that strange, as he is an lsu guy.

Yeah, I understand the sentiment about FL basketball fans, but he's really speaking to FL football fans and there is more than enough ripe fruit there. I'd say the # of helmet heads is vastly bigger than the # of legit hoops fans and those helmet heads might not attend or watch the games, but they check social media in the "off season."

Cool that you had breakfast with TB and that he wasn't the douche he all too often appears to be on TV and in the press. Wow, those were some long sentences. Sorry 'bout that :D

Interesting time to send that tweet considering we need to finish 2-0 to realistically have a shot without winning in Tampa.

If I am making an argument on literally anything, Tim Brando is almost dead last for where I’d turn. Unless it is a tutorial on how to be a self righteous jackass. He is someone I have to mute as soon as he starts speaking, because no one likes to hear Tim Brando talk more than Tim Brando does, and no one thinks more of Tim Brando’s opinions than Tim Brando.
    But maybe that’s just me.

    maybe.

But when he comments that Mike “does it the right way”, there is a reference to those who do not. And the face of that group is certainly Will Wade.

I have enjoyed Brando over the years as much as it is possible to enjoy pundits.
Certainly don't agree with him all the time but he hits the mark occasionally.

I think many media are experiencing the same dilemma we are, good man, great ambassador, class act so he (CMW) has not been abandoned and purloined by many in the media yet.

Props to tea Gator, I think he is on the Mark.

Regarding March madness it was mentioned by the announcers that UF has about a 1 in 3 chance to make it.

Some of you folks are up there with Lunardi about figuring that stuff out so I look forward to your metrics on the subject.

My guess is beating Vandy and Ky would get us in irregardless but beating UK seems a big ask to me, meaning UF would have to make hay in the SECT - 2 wins perhaps?

Anyway at least UF still has a pulse. I'm still enough of a fan to hope we get in.

Yeah and we think we know more basketball than the coach . Truthfully are fans don’t know jack crap! There was a reason we were voted a top 5 worst fan base in college sports
