Just go with @channingcrowderhungry 's advice and enjoy Rick advocating confiscating guns from people. And getting super mad about trans people arming themselves and talking like right-wing constitutionalists (if they are even real posts). Its really all you can get out of this. I will add to the game and see how many pro-gun people dont admonish him for his gun-grabbing take.

The rate of child deaths by firearms is going up - in 2013 it was 11.2% of all child deaths and has steadily increased to the last reportable year in 2020 to 18%, as reported by the CDC, and is now the number one cause of death in children. At what point do you believe the rate of child deaths by guns is a problem and draw the line?

What percentage is teenagers involved in gang activity? It seems that and domestic homicides drive numbers

If you are talking about guns, accidents and suicides are the main cause of death by firearm whether its kids or adults

Obviously and I'm disgusted by it. And I don't give a shit if you or anty or any other person is confused by my disgust. I'm sick and tired of reading about children and others being slaughtered, while folks far removed from those situations suggest anything but ridding our nation of this inexplicably juvenile gun culture. But I'll try and honor your request to ignore your posts on gun threads moving forward.

They protect politicians well. Senates and Houses and Governor Mansions are super safe. So should our schools be. I calculated in an earlier thread it would only cost $34B... per year. 97,568 public schools X $350,000. We increased the defense budget by $22B just two years ago without blinking. Of course thats $300M+ to prevent each kid's death annually.

    Such a fall-back red herring.

Perhaps I missed the post in the last 605 but …. has anyone listed a viable proposal to keep weapons out of the hands of mentally ill persons while allowing healthy law-abiding Americans the opportunity to to possess weapons and ammunition as per their constitutional right?

Mass shootings are largely sick individuals attacking soft targets in a suicide-by-cop action, gang violence, and domestic disputes. How should these matters be addressed by the US?

There isn't one, being mentally ill and 'law abiding' are not mutually exclusive things. I suppose you could criminalize mental illness, that's probably where things will go next given the nature of this country.

That is a fake account now locked out. Here is the person in that photo asking people to report it. Real question... did you do any research before posting or just assume it was real?

    No, just the murder part.

wasn’t there something years ago about autism and mass shootings? My memory isn’t what it used to be.

One reason I thought it was probably fake is because they called the person Audrey instead of Aidan, even when trolling, right wingers cant abide using a persons pronouns/chosen name

They have been very effective at holding funds and voting blocks over Republican lawmakers that have prevented representatives who could actually change policy/laws, from even engaging in discussion. That's why I ask, at what percentages will it motivate enough people to change focus on gun policies. Maybe we will never get there.

But that isn’t what has happened. Not at all
Several states have I stated laws that are helping
Florida put in the red flag laws. Those have saved many lives.

As soon as the gun laws we have right now start getting applied and used properly get back with me on adding new gun laws. When we see poster after poster in this very firm call cops (in general
Broadbrush terms) pigs, crooks, sociopaths, criminals etc… it reeks a little when the same side wants to use them
And their opinion (which I guess now means something to those very same posters) on gun control?
    Hypocritical?
And for the record, many coos are all for CCW.

And again, some on this thread are talking school shootings and some are limping suicides into the mix. My guess would be the number of child suicide by guns has also increased significantly.

and even more would be saved if there were more uniformity. A state that tries to address it is at the mercy of states that practically give guns away.
