I would think that Bama craters and drops to the 2 line and Houston rises to the 1 line. Auburn is a virtual lock for the overall #1 and Duke has a great resume and play in a very crappy league and will have an awesome W-L at the end of the season and a probably automatic ACC bid.
Kansas got its doors blown out 91-57 against BYU. Was hearing something about one of KU players being a diva and messing up the team chemistry. Maybe they were talking about Dickinson?
I got my first look at Houston last night, vs. Arizona State. I was quite impressed. I knew they had a great defense, but they looked pretty skilled on offense as well.
If true, the coach needs to grow a pair and bench whoever it is. Can't let the inmates run the asylum.
They are. Top 4 overall this year based on metrics are clearly Auburn, Duke, Houston & UF. In fact Duke, Houston & our Gators are the only 3 teams who are currently Top 7 in the country on both offense and defense…
i was thinking last night about how great each of our players is. A bunch of hardworking team players, top to bottom, that don’t complain or play selfishly. In year 3 Golden really has both eradicated any of those types of players and also actively sought out hardworking team players with the right attitude. A bunch of 3-stars dominating. It’s beyond impressive.
Who was responsible for assessing, wooing and hiring Todd? Was that a result of luck or a process? I've been a HR pro too long to take counsel from dazzling success or crushing defeat when it comes to the people game. But I am, and my organizations' success is, best served when there is some reproducible PROCESS by which people assessments are made. And even the best processes fail at the pointy end of the spear sometimes, no matter how solid the process was. And sometimes, delightfully unexpected success appears out of a routine mechanistic approach. Always go back and look and see was it luck or hard work that led to it. yes the problem is some people are just really good at interviewing. It's like people who are great on first dates, then as you unravel their true personality you might see someone different. In Golden's case, I think he has a lot of really reliable people that spoke very highly of him. Not to mention being a very sharp guy with a clear, well-thought out approach. Some guys just have "it" - and I think that's Golden. A combo of nerd smarts and competitive drive. He himself also seems to be a great evaluator not only of talent but also high character people.
Mizzou puts up 110 on Bama, shoots 60% from the field and 40% from 3 and took 47 free throw shots making 31 of them to win 110-98. They led for the full 40 minutes.
They eventually won the 3's......but 14 turnovers and a slow start is a hard one to overcome! Mizzou also went to the FT line 47 times and came away with 31 pts.....while Bama went 15/21....there's the 16 pts. Bama needed right there! Final score....110-98 Tigers!
