I mentioned it way up thread, but lost in all the fun, he also made a black people watermelon joke.
Just a complete train wreck. This will energize a dem base that has been a bit lethargic in a few states, how big a lift she gets is anyones guess. Could be tiny, could be moderate…But this is one time Trump is not getting off scot free, and the reason is counterintuitive, it’s because he didn’t say it. When he says something he never pays the price, heck he called the US a garbage can a few days ago. Other people around him don’t get the same pass he does.

Comedians get a pass for the quoted all day long, every day. His mistake was not understanding the venue, but if the above offends you coming from a comic, you must live a miserable life.

It's not "just the truth." You don't know it because it didn't happen. Your "point" is simply yet another matter of equivocation.

First, if he wins, he’ll say it was a fair election. Only if he loses will he rant that it was unfair to him. Second, I don’t see the country allowing him to stay after 4 more years and I don’t think the electoral process will suddenly halt.

Trump's inability to get anything done may be the key . . . .

There's no need to feign or manufacture outrage. Your guy is scum. An authentically lowlife, lying, cheating, criminal dirtbag. More than enough legit reasons to despise your guy there.

When a comedian who is the opening act at a rally for a presidential candidate delivers a racist, nativist monologue it says as much about the candidate it does about the comedian.

The comedian was on first. They had hours to go to the podium and renounce is vile, racist jokes, but did NOTHING until after the hate rally, when the reaction could no longer be ignored.

This Nazi Rally was a test to see how far these racists can go. They want to see how bad or how little the fallout will be.

If it's successful and Trump wins, expect him to go full on rogue on all people of color.

Hopefully the event turned off more people than it won over, although I can't be certain of that at this point. The campaign apparently thinks any downside to this sort of rhetoric is worth it. Are they worried about turning out the base or do they think a lot of fence sitters enjoy it? Perhaps it takes the focus off things like the fact that so many are calling Trump unfit to serve, that Trump brags about ending Roe v. Wade, and that he wants to kill off the Affordable Care Act without having offering specifics on his own.

No, Hinchcliffe's inclusion was to drive the young vote. He is an immensely popular podcaster with the Gen Z crowd. If I had to wager, I'd say he helps with the young vote as much as he hurts with the inappropriate jokes. (which isn't much either way)

Personally, I tend to afford comedians a lot of leeway and BOTD in terms of material that's provocative and offensive. I also understand the humor in roasts, particularly given that the rich and powerful are on the receiving end of the jokes. I don't get the humor in simply calling Puerto Rico a heap of trash, and I apparently wasn't the only one who didn't get the punchline. In any event, if crazy rhetoric were limited to comedians, it would be less concerning.

He probably did drive young voters … for Harris…. Young people don’t put up with racist shit like their grandparents… all these Puerto Rican celebs with millions of followers hitting back on social media, while the polls are open, couldn’t be better for Harris.

Well he’s Mexican. So if you want to equate a Mexican making a joke about his own people and a white guy standing up for a party that already has serious problems in how they speak about immigrants calling Hispanics trash, have at it. But just like the cats and dogs fiasco, the longer this debate goes on the better it is for Kamala. So I’m sure the Dems are hoping it will continue.
