    It’s a thought provoking Taoist teaching. What do you think Laozi means? How do you interpret it? I also am curious why others find the quote funny. The Tao Te Ching is one of the great philosophical and religious texts of Taoism.

    I take we need knowledge and have to consume it. But at the same time after digesting that knowledge we need to analyze and dismiss the negative (learn).
