He did. Seems to have the rare combo of being explosive and high endurance at the same time

Good all-around player, and is still getting better.

This might explain why I wasn’t a D1 level player.

The class was in the Florida Gym just after lunch on MWF. I played pick-up over lunch MWF. Got to shoot around with Jason Williams and talked with Udonis Haslem before they attended class. Not being a fan of football I couldn't name the football players that took the class but there were some seriously large males taking the class.

I was looking around at various hoops rankings this morning and saw that Evanmiya.com ranks Haugh as analytically the 7th-best player in the nation. Wow. It's based on the value a player brings to his team.

he is so much more athletic and a better all around player then Matt, Matt was a good shooter and avg at everything else.

I think “good shooter” sells it short - Bonner was an exceptional shooter by the end of his career, 47% from 3 his last season here and 40%+ his NBA career from NBA range which presumably is why he stuck around for quite awhile in the NBA. Bonner was a prototypical stretch 4. Haugh is more of a slasher, and yes he’s a lot more athletic than Bonner, he’s almost more of a prototypical 3 if not for the fact so many teams play 3 guards now.

I don’t see the comparison to Bonner, maybe Chandler Parsons but he would still need to take that next step. Right now obviously our group of 5th year guards soak up a ton of the offense.

Exactly! Energy isn’t his issue. It’s more foul trouble.

Right. Bonner was not only an elite shooter, but also very effective collegiately at the high post and low blocks. Very solid positional post and help defender and rebounder (when the offense wasn’t running through him, like his senior year).

Comp I use (and SIAP) for him is Brent Wright: mobile, active four who can play up or down depending upon matchups, does a little of everything on both ends and is insanely aggressive. Haugh is a better passer, though.

Right, I wasn’t trying to comment on his game time. More just a Kudo to him for being able to play full game.

Wright didn’t always shoot a ton, but he was 41% from the arc for his career. That’s pretty impressive.
