So now we expecting 18-20 yr old kids won't ever make a mistake In the heat of rivalry game? Not sure that exists. They will always make mistakes, u just want them to accept their punishment, learn from them and not make them a habit. But expecting kids to never make a mistake by doing something they know they shouldn't is just setting yourself up for disappointment. If you you have kids, you'll understand.
