Wild. Have not seen scientific analysis yet. Know about random rogue waves, but these are continuing. 25 up to 40'
This is what piece says, but seems insufficient The treacherous surf and coastal flood threat was attributed to a Pacific storm system also bringing heavy downpours to much of the West Coast on Friday night, while coinciding with the latest arrival of exceptionally high tides known as king tides.
Big waves were forecast, but I haven’t looked into the apparent rogue nature of some of them. I have enough respect for water that I wouldn’t have been near that stuff.
I was randomly reading about the history of rogue waves the other day. Basically, for hundred of years sailors would tell tales of giant waves and scientists told them they were full of shit and it was impossible. I wasn't until the last like 50 years that scientists could actually confirm their existence.
Yeah, I read some of the same stuff. It’s mind blowing and it’s sticks in your mind whenever you’re on a cruise or something similar.
Wow. Some of this footage. Some almost doesn’t seem real, though no corrections or challenge in comments
