I feel bad for the women competing in this. Imagine how demoralizing it would be to train for months and months only to get knocked off the podium by a biological male with an unfair advantage. And there is fame and $ for winning. some prize $ and endorsements.
Its funny that Travis was a "no politics in sports" guy forever and then completely went they other way. Like many others, he found that selling out to the right's grievance machine is lucrative.
Apparently, very lucrative. Sad too, because there was a time when I really enjoyed listening to him, his Saturday morning college football radio show in particular.
And soon as I saw the OP I knew this post would either be about transgenders or covid. I'd be afraid to see their youtube recommendations
Why can't these transgender types compete with only other transgenders? Do you see that as a fair request, river?
Yeah, sure, tell this young woman all about it... I don't like groomers, not that you're a groomer, but I just don't like them.
I think it should be allowed to stand. It could be an annual monument for everyone to behold to be reminded of the moral insanity that we have chosen as a nation. We could let it be and let everyone see this foolishness for what it is every single year. And we could start threads on it every single year to remind people of the moral insanity we choose to live in. We also could let capitalism play itself out. We could allow a new league to be formed where only biological women are allowed to compete. We could see all the women gradually start to leave the league where the biological men are allowed to compete. And then we could let the courts protect the new league, and also pass air tight legislation that protects the new league from being sued by the morally insane people who would attempt to sue such a league for some kind of imagined discrimination.
I care about things that matter, like real women and real sanction competitions, not some local virtue signaling event designed to rile simpletons up. Way to take the bait and swallow the hook. . . Sucker!
I’d hardly consider myself a Trump supporter. I regard the whole enterprise as largely fake. There aren’t really two parties. Rather, there are only two factions vying to administer an increasingly totalitarian state. That said, although I’ve only voted three or four times since 1984, there are reasons why I might be persuaded to vote for Trump. Ex: I suspect that he is more likely to get along with our adversaries in the world than would the Democrats. His alleged crimes are neither here nor there for two reasons: (1) I have little confidence in our so-called justice system and (2) Biden’s bloody and wholly unnecessary wars vs. allegedly fingering a woman thirty years ago. Add: regarding Trump’s personality that drives so many to ruin, I can’t for the life of me get infuriated by him. And here I’m accounting for his completely caving to the Covidians.
