That's something that should be up to the organization that puts the event on. Not something for political parties to posture over or set laws.
As soon as I saw this ground breaking thread, I went to cancel hotel reservations for next year's Marymoor Grand Prix but it was past the free cancellation date. That's BS.
What’s really sad is this was a relay so ….. biological women chose to team with men to gain an advantage over the teams comprised of only biological women. The women choosing to team with a man are as sad/sick as the men wanting to compete against a field of women (and two other men).
The governing bodies of the individual sports should set the rules for competitors. No need for government to be involved. Personally, i’m against allowing trans women into women’s sports.
Here's an idea, maybe they dont think like boomer conservatives who dont give a shit about women's sports and only culture wars. This kind of defeats the notion that all the cis women in womens sports agree with the anti-trans people doesnt it?

From my POV only one party has made trans athletes a political issue and subjected them to legislation even in places where there are maybe a handful of people that would be affected, yet somehow the Democrats are "pushing it" despite pretty much avoiding the issue altogether. Anyways, I hope you arent holding your breath for a coherent response!
100%. Nobody knows their respective sport better. It's why FINA put the kybosh on this in international swimming within days of Lia Thomas poaching those NCAA titles. Someone please tell this to Clay Travis and the cynical grifting opportunists at Outkick as they publish a new story about Thomas every day. For instance, there are sports where it's inherently unfair (like swimming, especially when the trans athlete used to be a very good male swimmer). And then there are those where it wouldn't matter and would actually be a disadvantage. Like Women's Gymnastics, which is literally tailored to the physical attributes of women. Even the best male gymnast will probably struggle in women's events. Outside of, maybe, vault, the events are wholly different.
