I voted for Putin only because his worse case is death and possibly his family, while Trump's worse case is jail.
Elon's week is getting worse and worse. Hilariously, people were buying verified checkmarks and impersonating for example the pharma company that makes insulin announcing that it is now free for everyone. This sent the actual company's stock price plummeting which will lead to a lawsuit.
Elon losing $200B in net worth with the anchor of Twitter hanging around his neck. Putin was already having a bad year. Trump is a has been and really is just getting exposed, nothing more. Musk was riding high just a few months ago, so my vote was Musk.
Putin is the only one looking at possibly being executed for his failures. Of course, his failure has been going on for more than half a year now--Kherson falling is just one major milestone in his miserable failure of a war.
I voted Putin because I'm a big picture guy. I'd say Trump had the second worst week. Sure Elon lost the most money, but the fall of Kherson and the tide turning on Trumpism (maybe) are actually significant events we're likely to talk about in 5, 50, 100 years.
This guy wants in. His crypto business was worth $16 Billion on Monday… now worth $0. In less than a week, Sam Bankman-Fried's $16 billion fortune evaporated | CNN Business
Gargle his balls a little harder, bro. Thank god he wasn’t born in this country or else he’d be the heir apparent to Trump. He’s a troll.
Even a genius like Elon can exceed his level of competence and at least for now he has done so with his acquisition of Twitter. Said it in several posts in the thread directly on the subject of his acquisition of Twitter, founding and running innovative companies based on tangible technologies and running a social media platform require completely different skill sets. Getting back to the subject this thread, Putin and Trump had much worse weeks than Elon. So far his acquisition of Twitter has been an embarrassment but even under a worst case scenario it could result in large but easily sustainable financial loss for Musk considering his immense net worth.
You’re trying to be honest with your assessment here (unlike the haters), but Elon didn’t lose a bunch of money this week. To my knowledge, he didn’t sell any TSLA shares this past week. You only lose if you sell when shares have lost value. We don’t evaluate the viability of multi-billionaires based on a bad week in the stock market. If they sell shares at a loss, sure. But overall, I agree with you. It’s silly to compare losing cities that you literally just annexed a month ago to on paper losses that haven’t been transacted.
You have to give a guy like Elon more than three weeks. He’s earned that rope. But kudos to you for seeing reality in that comparing Elon’s challenging week as the new owner of a company to Trump and Putin losing Kherson is quite dumb.
FTX was an exchange that held client's cyrpto like a brokerage. The news today says there is up $2 billion of client funds "missing". Sounds Madoff like ...
I used to be anti-crypto regulation, but not anymore. It’s pretty clear most of these exchanges are ran by crooks.
And most of the investors are victims in a huge pyramid scheme. Madoff was a crook his victims were rubes. Crypto may need new words to explain the stupidity of the investors.
Crypto itself is very safe if you keep it in a wallet where you hold the "keys". When you let someone else hold it for you, they have the "keys", which is the case here. When you keep your Crpyto on an exchange, then you are at risk of the person who hold the "keys" stealing it, or getting hacked, or both. The saying is "if not your keys then its not your crypto". I buy everything on coinbase and immediately transfer it to a wallet on my computer where I have the keys.
