If it can be said that a Creator has been there forever, why can’t it be said, alternatively, that the universe has been here forever? What’s the difference? And which one makes more sense?

If the universe has been here forever, that at least explains why there’s bad along with the good. That’s just the way it is, the universe can do nothing about it. But if a Creator has been there forever, then he or she or it has some explaining to do. And theologians have bent over backwards trying to explain things on a Creator’s behalf (even claiming that the Creator speaks through them).

The problem, what the human mind can’t comprehend, is how anything, divine or otherwise, can simply have existed forever. It just seems (to the human mind) like something has to come from something, but then you have what is called infinite regression.

I think about this when I have nothing better to do. And it’s basically been a waste of time.

I vote that it just is and we’re all grown up hydrogen cells shaking our fists at the injustice in the world.

I personally believe that the universe has no beginning and no end. The "big bang" represents the origin of the observable universe only. The no-boundary theory provides a theoretical and mathematical framework for this view.

One key implication is that sufficient time exists for life to have originated via random, chemical processes. This said, I still personally see a higher intelligence behind it all.

Where does music come from? Or sound waves, for that matter?

I think that Artificial Intelligence gives us a clue about the universe. The world is just a bunch of phony crap that something is pulling.

I recommend Why Does the World Exist? by Jim Holt. His answer: no one's explanation answers the question satisfactorily. The least satisfactory is the Bible, which is understandable given when and by whom it was written, yet it is the one relied upon by so many.

If a belief gives you solace, who are we to mock it?

Physics. The real question is who created physics?

Well, physics is just part of the physical universe, which despite all its laws, mathematics, equations, and theories, ultimately doesn't make any sense. Just been here forever? Ridiculous. It had a beginning? From what? You might as well say it just started with a big bang. lol

    Interesting OP…

How you end up with a planet Earth rotating in perfect harmony in orbit around the sun knowing Physics. Makes it almost impossible to not recognize a Creator. But I understand the questioning. There just is more faith in “no creator” vs “creator” if you ask me…

In a universe with countless stars and planets, there are bound to some planets with orbits similar to the Earth's around their suns. But I wouldn't call it perfect harmony. In a few billion years the sun will burn the Earth to a crisp. It will make climate change look like fair weather in comparison.

This planet literally rotates around the sun and spins in perfect harmony with a solstice and equinox to sustain life. If you think this is by chance and not a creator. You have more faith than me. Not saying I am right and you are wrong. Just saying you have more faith than me that poof. A world capable of sustaining life as we have been shown (by a creator if you ask me) happened by chance.

Goofy. We're gonna jump ahead to who/how the universe was created when we cannot prove that the universe exists? I would expound but my solipsism club is going bowling.

And we think a god talked to people before written language but has been silent since. It reminds me of Bigfoot sightings. Now that everyone walks around with a decent camera Bigfoot sightings have gone away.

From? Evolved from poof…chance? Or evolved for a creator?

A creator can evolve all day long.

Poof and have an earth spinning in perfect harmony tilting to a solstice creating seasons as we know them is not something to that happens by chance. It is designed. Clearly. Now you may have more faith and believe that poof matter just appeared and evolved to today. That takes way more faith than I have. We will just disagree.
