I wonder which posters on this forum will choose????

Doak was basically an erector set before they put all the facades up!

    People love polls...

Honestly, if that was a prominent twitter account maybe it would be more interesting. But it's just twitter clickbait.

Actually, the more thought I give this thread; It is beyond insulting to all Gators who have ever played, coached, cheered, marched, sat, or worked in The Swamp to even be having this.

That’s my last $.02 on this conversation.

Please what a joke. Joke Shambles is literally the worst stadium I’ve ever had the displeasure of visiting. It’s a mess and a dishonor being compared to. Literally one of the best stadiums to one of the worst. Won’t waste my time even voting. That said, we could use some concession upgrades:.

When I think of Miami stadiums, I don’t think of one since the Orange Bowl which was a sad POS that was empty even during their hey day unless they were playing us. It’s because their student body consisted of 80 trust fund babies and a semi decent football team. Before I knew what was what as a kid I used to call them my college team. As soon as I heard I’m my goal was UF, switching allegiances was not difficult. Them and their pack of pro style gross fans.

Comparing the Swamp to Doak is likened to comparing the Sistene Chapel to a hunting camp shack. Sheesh.

The old Orange Bowl was nothing to look at but it was a big home field advantage for the Dolphins. The Bowl Bar was a great place to drink before and after the games and if you parked in a neighborhood those Cubans had some damn good food to sell you as you walked to and from the stadium. Many good times and great games there.

UF was the last team to beat the Canes there before they went on that long undefeated streak at home.

Steve Spurrier field wins this one, and it's far better than Ron Zook from the school out west.

I was on the field for that as well. They tried to turn on the sprinklers and our cheerleaders put their megaphones over the sprinkler heads. They did a lot of damage to their own field with that move. Then a bunch of former FSU football players had to run on the field and scare everybody off but Gator fans had at least one goal posts down by then.

What was even funnier was the next year in Gainesville, FSU fans vowed revenge. We had a ring of police on horseback around the perimeter of the field. Nobody set foot on our field.

Was there at that one too. I had graduated but came back to all of the home games plus Jacksonville.

Of course we also hung 50 on them that day so they really didn’t have much to celebrate.

I am glad you have those memories but I was never a Dolphin hardcore fan. Just rooted for them. I was a child when they were in the Orange Bowl but those were some good years to be Cane fan I would suppose. Only time I remember seeing the Canes in the Orange Bowl when we played them against Brock. Sure I love Miami and yummy to some Cuban food but my last memory of it was the Brock Bowl and I just remember it being a real crappy place and then they had literally thousands of people and thats it at most of their games.

Anyway, glad you have fond memories of the Phins there. I lived in Plantation, so I certainly know the area.

I hate everything about Miami and I do not understand why any good recruit would want to play for that program. So many better options.
