I think its great that they now have this opportunity

 

Time will tell. I’m glad they getting paid. But lambourghinis are sending the wrong message. Very few of them will be living that lifestyle without going broke.

 

According to the rules this is allowed. Smart of Texas to do this.

 

This was a recruiting weekend. Those cars were just for show.

It’s the hardest thing to teach kids, the value of a dollar.

 

My opinion of UT-Austin takes a serious hit. That’s just blatantly broadcasting the wrong messsge. Shame on them

 

We never should have let those two Texas schools into the SEC.

 

Did more for them than it did for SEC. Of course there is that TV money. But I’m with Skink, got along without them just fine.

 

Let them attract all those recruits who's purpose is money. Those guys rarely workout and are mostly cancer.

 

Anyone who has ever lived in Texas can understand the problem here

 

This guy still thinks the schools and coaching staff has the best interest of the players at heart.

The time where athletics was about sportsmanship and building young men is over, old man. Now it's about squeezing out as much profit as possible with minimum required effort and who cares what happens in 10, 15, 20 years. Heck, in 2024 most of the parents don't seem to have the kids interests at heart.

 

It's a business decision. The Southeastern Conference hasn't been southern or eastern in a long time.

 

Well, now I already hate Texas (that didn't take long, did it?)

 

Crazy! Like Florida hasn't used its relationship with a Lambo dealer to impress recruits ....

 

Gator getters are much more effective.

 

I had a similar thought. It'll probably never happen because young men don't want to hear about it at that age, but I would definitely include a presentation and some graphs about NIL + compounding interest.

 

So am I. Strike while the iron's hot, gentlemen.

 

Change is inevitable. I’m glad the SEC was ahead of it instead of behind it like the ACC.
