The so-called Mother of all Pandemics didn’t even come from Spain … “History is written by the victors" is none more prevalent here than the State, who waged war for profit, won, and on retracing their steps through the Somme, ignored the bloody piles of bodies, bomb craters and starvation, pointed at the air and declared; “virus did it”! The Spanish Flu Hoax
I have fantastic paper documentation of both my fraternal and maternal lines (most of the work done for me) going back to WWI and beyond. None of my grandfathers or grandmothers or their siblings died during that period. Unknown: whether any of them suffered from Long Spanish Flu. *sarcasm*
That the Spanish flu did not start in Spain is well known. The best book on this subject is The Great Influenza by John Barry. The book provides evidence the virus may have surfaced in Kansas and spread in the military cantonment areas as the U. S. geared up for the war. The fact that up to 100 million people worldwide died from this virus is well documented and the garbage in above posts does not change that but unfortunately, stupid don't get tired.
Philadelphia had a mass spreader event in September of 1918 during efforts to sell government bonds to support the war effort. About 200k people gathered on Broad Street for a parade. Within a week, all 31 area hospitals were filled to capacity and 2600 people died, as public spaces were shuttered. The next week, 1900 more died. Grieving families had to bury their own dead, and most families could not afford skyrocketing casket prices. The phrase "bodies stacked like cordwood" came from this event. The parade, which was nine days after the first known case of Spanish Flu arrived in the city, was expected to have 10,000 spectators, but 20 times as many showed up. Local physicians insisted the parade should be canceled, but the director of the city's Dept. of Health allowed it to go on. Again, the book I referenced said up to 100 million worldwide. And the virus was very lethal as sone people died within days of showing symptoms. Again this is well documented and some people on this board - again, stupid don't get tired.
Suspiciously, whereas ‘Covid’ was said to target the frail elderly, the ‘Spanish Flu’ feasted on men of military age … An Enigma: Transmission Of Epidemic Influenza (part 6) Not even Covid had a nursery rhyme: I had a little bird, Its name was Enza. I opened the window, And in flew Enza.
I’ve seen estimates from 10 million to 150 million. Extreme variation like that ought to send up red flags.
A contrarian is someone who disagrees just for the sake of disagreement. That’s just conformity of a different color. I’m a person who resists the pressure to conform.
We (our medical researchers) invent the viruses so that big pharmaceuticals can sell us the vaccines they also invent. That has to be halted immediately.
A lot of the time, I do. If I think there's solid, certifiable, and consensus data, I tend to give it credence. Marinating in conspiracy theories is mental masturbation. You can stew and stew, but nothing you can do.
