Occasionally, but I just find his voice annoying. I understand tho if others like his act.

Sorry brother but one celeb ripping on another celeb is not at all punching down. It was an equal ripping on an equal.

NTM, it was a stale, dated joke.

On the other hand, I think this is all Will Smith trying to cover his shame. He was caught laughing at the joke but it was only when the cameras caught Jada giving him an unpleasant look did he change his tune, and imo in the worst way possible.

It was all an act...but you know, actors gonna act.

I went back and watched. He didn’t make fun of any woman other than Felicity Huffman for the college thing. Didn’t see him make fun of looks either. It was funny though.

I can’t speak for him but I’d grin and bear it like a civilized adult. I sure as shit wouldn’t resort to violence.

Is that so hard to believe? I’ve been in a fist fight with exactly one person in my life - my older brother. You might see that as a sign of weakness but I’m smart enough to know nothing good comes from violence. But you do you, tough guy.

One interesting aspect of last night that hasn’t been reported much. Sometimes at the show the presenter comes out from backstage to announce the nominees at a stage depth closer to their entrance from the wings, but then, during the clips, the presenter advances to a position closer to the audience, so the winner has a shorter distance to walk to start their speech.

This meant Rock had to approach Smith during the clips and stand DIRECTLY in front of him to present the award. In the tweet above, you can see Denzel there between the two men brokering peace so that when they came back live heads were cool. You can even see the stagehand counting Rock back in with the five count. How Denzel did this unnoticed during the broadcast is impressive on the part of the live broadcast crew. Riveting bit of live television.

All this happened within about 25 seconds of the slap, which is absolutely WILD

Yes he is. Perhaps our greatest actor of this time. Many times nominated, yet to win

I think this is a fair question and am behind in the thread, but wonder if anyone was willing to answer it.

When Denzel won for “Training Day” he was up against Russell Crowe for “Beautiful Mind.” I forget who else was in the running that year. I love Denzel but thought Crowe (unpopular with Hollywood at the time) got ripped.

I stand corrected. I listened to a podcast one time and I thought they said that. Been trying to remember what it was. I know it is where I learned the term "Denzealot" to describe those who think he is the greatest.
