The Official Offensive Line OL recruiting thread

I don't think his year of eligibility was in danger even if he stayed. And certainly if he indicated to the staff that he wanted to preserve the year they would have respected the decision. Think he's a really good kid, but I flat out have big issues with leaving a team mid season

 

Question is, what were his biggest issues on the field that weren't correctable? They must have been significant for him to fall to the bottom of the depth chart. When he came here, Braun was so highly spoken of.

 

There must be an underlying reason why he did. Coaching (Hevesy?) Focusing shifting to classes since he is obviously a serious student? Undisclosed injury? Overrated from the start? Not wanting to learn a new system? (not likely since he's transferring now). Just makes me wonder what the causes of the regression were.

Interesting situation like Whitt. Really like both of these guys and it stinks that they are not contributing. Maybe doesn’t seem like a big deal this year but next year it could be, especially with Braun considering what we will lose on our OL

 

The OL roster doesn't look bad. No seniors, 3 Juniors, 10 deep right now with 8 of those starting quality. Plus 5 more that could develop so 15 total. We could lose O'Cyrus and Gouraige to the draft, but one or both could stay. The 2 OL coaches have been really worth.

 

Add Kearney into the mix now, too.
