and they basically lied to get Carroll telling that kid he was gonna be a RB & immediately moved him to cornerback once he got to campus and blamed it on (lack of depth at corner)

People never consider how UGA has zero in state competition in a pretty good state high school talent wise. The state of Georgia has gotta be top 5 for HS talent.

Board never seemed big to me if we are being realistic.
Moore was off us a long time ago and honestly Miller ranked higher at that point.
Graves- I can personally tell you we did not go at him hard at all and when we spent more effort it was way too late ( heard it all before) so hard to say he was taking time away from us focusing on Miller.

McCall- that ship sailed a long long time ago.

But is surrounded by tons of border state schools that are damn good in fb. Florida missed their chance the last 2-3 years, our in state rivals sucked, still do, and yet we can’t keep our instate stars. For this reason alone I want Mullen replaced with a relentless recruiter.

Moore was absolutely higher than Miller on UF board, not even remotely close. And there is a reason Jules and Crime were down to see Moore last week....so maybe he wasn't off us a long time ago.
Board was and is plenty big for the very limited numbers they want to take. If there are 1-2 slots left, we still have AZ, Jaheim, Ausberry as the primary guys.

They also didn't push for Nikkai, Cull, Pollard, Stinson...and even though I don't like it they cut the cord on McCall.

If you want we could take a broader look at the players leaving florida for other schools. It would take me about twenty minutes to show that the vast majority did not give two poops about UF and mullen's recruiting. But you already know that so why would we pretend our staff has done their best for UF.

Even players abandoning ship and flipping to georgia are discredited here.

I pointed out facts about UGA that didn't fit your narrative, so you change the parameters of the discussion.
And you can't prove the vast majority didn't care about UF, there is no possible way to quantify that. Certainly there are kids that had no interest in UF, that's been the case forever. And there are kids that had lukewarm interest, and there are kids that were very close but went elsewhere. That's recruiting.
But you already know that, so why why pretend otherwise?

I only used georgia to limit the need for further discussion. I was giving you an out.

Mullen and his staff get a D- for their recruiting the state of Florida.

There is another way to look at this and that would be to look at the players we went head to head with and won vs went to another big school, like Ohio State, LSU, Alabama, Georgia, fsu(sadly). That's where most of the good Florida talent is lost. I think what you find is we are not considered by those leaving, are not winning enough head to head, and are not challenging those schools for recruits. Obviously we aren't recruiting Ohio so there's that. Mullen is getting his clock cleaned.

And really, it's the guys leaving that never mention Florida, or hardly do, or start talking about us later in their process.

Bobby, I pray you’re right about this…I’ve just been burned by Mullen’s closing abilities too many times in the past to have much hope.

lol granted, im being optimistic but there’s a bit of “logic” in what im saying lol. Again, im NOT saying we’re going to get those guys, I’m just saying that if Mullen doesn’t clown it up (provided he’s still the coach come season end), he can land a few of those kids that’ll “salvage” the class.

one of those guys not listed, Chris McClellan is gaining crystal balls to UF as we speak

The issue you raised was guys not even considering UF....I strongly disagree in that regard. UF gets in a pretty strong % of conversations. Actually landing them is a completely different issue, and it is an issue without question. I have never argued otherwise. And thanks, but I don't need an out from you.

Oh I love Moore. Have watched him many times since his freshman year and have said very underrated BUT he committed to Notre Dame quite a while ago. I also think, even if Florida says corner, that Moore is a safety with his size.
Don’t see it with Singletary as we are third at best. Could he fall our way if others fill up, I guess.
Ausberry- don’t and haven’t ever seen him coming to Florida.

Thomas- just 2 weeks ago he was all of a sudden OU so why now back to us?

my point, got to be able to see through some things in around others so you don’t lose a athlete like Miller out of Jacksonville. Liked Moore better than most from day one as he’s a player, comes from a great program where kids are taught very well, and Is a great kid. See this as a major miss and barring something unforeseen he’s not a Gator.

There’s something to be said for continuing to spend time with the kids that you are probably not going to be able to get. Not specifically talking about moore but I could reference several the last couple of years and he looks like another example of this.

If you think this staff is recruiting well and hard, have at it. With that, your only conclusion can be that your staff is incompetent.

I can unravel this by reviewing the previous two cycles and all top recruits that left the star or chose an in-state school then we link to all the conversations and threads on the recruits. We will “discover” that, though mentioned, most of the state’s talent was not seriously considering mullen.

kirby smart insults your coach and staff and you still stick up for the over paid bum.

I have two words for you: jackson and ville. Say no more.

Lol, do you even read my posts before responding? Are you just typing up some conversation with the little voices in your head? Show me where I said "his staff is recruiting well and hard".....shouldn't be difficult with these research skills you blather about. But as an fyi, recruiting well vs being involved with kids are not mutually exclusive. You can be involved with kids and still not recruit well....that's essentially been the UF problem, closing on elite players.
You said "half the kids that leave the state for Ga,etc are never mentioned in UF recruiting". That's nonsense and I said so. It's that simple. It was quickly disproved on the UGA standpoint by your very own links....Carson Beck, Arian Smith, Marcus Rosemy, Jalen Carter, Warren Brinson, X Sorey, Lovesea Carroll all involved with UF to some extent. Of course you will once again attempt to move the bar like you have done in every subsequent post....but I'm just gonna drag you back to your original words.
Oh, and Jacksonville is one word. I'm there every year, including last year when we kicked your precious Kirby's butt.

Alabama, Ohio State, Clemson, Georgia, LSU, are all cleaning everybody’s clock no matter where the kid lives
