I know it’s all about money but I’m not excited about adding Oklahoma and Texas. The SEC is already the toughest conference in college football. Who also thinks the same as me?
Yes one thing I liked about the southeastern conference was the southeastern part. The NFL is just about business (except when it comes to building stadiums, then it's charity) whereas college football is about regional, state and local culture and community. Or was, I guess. I guess we can just call it Conference. Maybe Eastern Football Conference, then the others can team up to form Western Football Conference. We can run a 14 team playoff with the winners playing in the megabowl. Innovative and new.
We shoulda let OK and TX drown on the sinking ship that was the Big12. Instead we toss them a lifeline. We honestly may never win the SEC again in our lifetimes
I don't like it all. Let's just make murderers row even harder. Keep in mind that we'll get both them on the road in the same season, while Georgia and Alabama will play them once a decade.
I’m all for it. I would love to see a Texas-UF matchup. Lots of good matchups. I’m here for the good football, let the chips fall where they may.
Texas is a huge recruiting ground and kids want to play in the sec , this will only help tx and OU in recruiting going forward.
I don’t mind change. I like that the SEC is proactive instead of being reactive. Just look at the PAC-12. They may die because they weren’t proactive. Change or die.
If you want free conference championships then join the B1G, Big12, Pac12, ACC. I would prefer a conference where every game actually means something.
It's not just football, sec titles in baseball, softball, gymnastics, volleyball all just a bit tougher.
