Sounds exactly like his opponent for the nomination, the guy with the orange complexion.

Strawman, not to mention the fact that not every single person outside the capitol was imprisoned.

    DeSantis never became an anti-vaxxer.

When you guys talk about every controversial liberal issue you use all sorts of mental gymnastics to justify their actions and call it nuance.

Then, when you talk about DeSantis you completely ignore actual nuance and reduce everything to a bumper sticker.

I can say that you made a strawman when you cherrypicked some of the worst examples and assumed I was talking about those.

You mean the people who went to jail? It seems you already picked the worst examples. ;)

You missed a couple steps, but that almost sums it up.

I would add that as society has become more accepting of LGBTQ people (which is itself a good thing) radical activists of the gender ideology movement have been provided cover to provide inappropriate books to children despite not reflecting the majority view in this country.

You can't conflate all of it.

    1. Should gays have the right to marry?
    2. Should public schools instruct elementary school children on homosexuality?
    3. Should "gender affirming care" be offered to minors?

These are all extremely different questions with different levels of support.

You're conflating "using authority to advance religion" with "a strongly religious person having authority."

This is an egregious error to the point that such an error from the government actually violates the Free Exercise rights of religious people.

This is what you call "begging the question."

You're assuming that because they went to jail, they weren't prejudicially targeted. You're asserting the premise as the argument which is a logical fallacy.

He hired a notorious anti-vaxer to be our surgeon general. He scolded children for wearing a mask. How can you possibly say he is not an anti-vaxxer?!?!

It seems my "assumption" is supported by the legal system. Yours is not. Logical fallacy? BS

    1. Masks have nothing to do with vaccines.
    2. Does this "notorious anti-vaxxer" think all COVID vaccines are bad or that some present an underestimated risk to certain groups of people?
    3. A good indicator that he's not an anti-vaxxer is that he went out of his way to vaccinate the elderly as quickly as possible.

I'm not even saying they were prejudicially targeted, I'm just saying DeSantis would be right to take a look.

One of the powers the President has is pardoning people for federal offenses which is something Joe Biden has used and Donald Trump has used.

As far as your argument, it is akin to saying: "That Black guy wasn't prejudicially targeted, he went to jail." As though going to jail means you weren't prejudicially targeted. It's nonsensical.

Well because the district is no longer controlled by those involved in the district. Our tiny governor controls it. Did he put in experts who knew anything about entertainment and hospitality? No he put in boot licking lackeys. If he had appointed someone from the Rosen college at ucf you might have a point.

LOL - cmon. Ron clearly pivoted once he realized he could peel off a few deplorables from the trump coalition by doing so.

“I think people want the truth that I think people want accountability,” DeSantis said. “You need to have a thorough investigation into what’s happened with the shots.”

Sounds pretty anti vax to me. Not to mention the dipshit anti vax surgeon general he appointed for that very reason.

DeSantis calls for grand jury to investigate Covid-19 vaccines

In the distant past Al Gores wife wanted to put warning labels on music and restrict the ages of people who could buy certain albums. Tipper Gore was a democrat. I disagreed with her actions as much as I disagree with little Ronnie’s.

While you're technically correct in the sense that DeSantis never actually opposed vaccines or vaccinations he certainly caved into the anti-vaxxers by using the power of the state by threatening to punish private entities from imposing vaccination requirements on their employees and clientele with cruise lines being a prime example. Cruise line passengers tend skew older and as such are more likely to contract a serious case of Covid and communicable diseases spread very quickly on cruise ships. It was simply good business for cruise lines to impose vaccination requirements yet Meatball Ron attempted to prevent them from doing so to appease his anti-vax constituents.

That is supporting individual choice, not opposing vaccines.

Anti-vaxxers have a right to be free as well.

Considering that the Russian interfered in the 2016 presidential election campaign are you're suggesting that maybe the Democrats/libs are using social media to influence Republicans to vote for Trump in the Republican primaries? Maybe you have a point although it never occurred to me.

Knox Zajac reads aloud from 'pornographic' book at school board meeting

Knox Zajac, an 11-year-old sixth-grader, spoke up at a school board meeting last week to read aloud from the book “Nick and Charlie” that he had checked out of his school’s library.

Knox proceeded to read, “My back over my hips. I asked if he should take his clothes off. He was saying yes before I finished my sentence. He’s pulling off my T-shirt, laughing when I can’t undo his shirt buttons. He’s undoing my belt. I’m reaching into his bedside drawer for a condom.”

“When I rented it out and showed my dad it, the librarian asked if I wanted more and if I wanted a graphic novel version,” Knox said.

Nothing to see here folks. Everything is fine.
