Man, I actually agree with this 100%. In any case, know that Israel are simply laying the groundwork for "ISIS 2.0" or a more worse variant, if that is even possible. Israel is confirming for anybody in Gaza who ever doubted Hamas. To think there won't be future ramifications from this is delusional. On that basis alone, Israel really needs to step back and re-think. The only strategy can't be kill everyone in sight. This will come back to haunt the Israeli people.

All in the name of religion. Scary how far a zealot may go when they believe their actions are guided by a higher power.

Is it against geneva convention to flood the tunnels? Is there a better way to render them ineffective without bombing the 12 families that live above one?

In a way, absolutely, but that's not the root cause here - other than the 1,000s of years of horrific Jewish torment which was the driver for the Zionist movement.

The Palestinians weren't religious militants before then. It was a reaction to their displacement and subjugation at the hands of the Zionists when they had no institutions to turn to and no foreign support for their plight, so they turned to their Mullahs/religion as people often do when they have little hope

It's easy now, and not entirely inaccurate, to call it a religious conflict, but Jews and Palestinians lived in harmony for centuries under Ottoman rule.

Your posts tend to be very thoughtful and agreeable. TBH this was a strangely illogical statement coming from you.

I am not “all or nothing” so I do not at all consider your post antisemitic.
I do however agree with others that you are employing a false equivalency.

There have been many initiatives offered to the Palestinians over the last 40-50 years yet they have accepted none of them as more than an opportunity to regroup and plan. Sadat lost his life over this.

I have come to believe that the bad actors (Iran) do not want a solution and have made it impossible to negotiate one.

Agree with this. The problem is Israel is doing now exactly what Iran wants them to do. The plan was clearly to provoke Israel into an overreaction, knowing the Israeli population would demand a strong response. Hamas, Hezbollah and the Iranians probably wake up jacking off every morning. This is like an extended Christmas for them.

Trump was right when he noted how smart they were and how dimwitted Netanyahu is being. There were and still are many other options. A big one being, hold back fire, shore up relations with Saudi Arabia, wait for Trump's re-election. Once things are churning with SA and Trump has had a couple years to squeeze Iran, Israel can deliver the death blow and ask for SA's help. Money talks.
