Not only are we educating them , providing for them , we train them to kick our ass on the world stage ! As well as doctors, engineers , dentists etc..
Disagree, my friend. You leaving the board would make us all less well off. I would miss my savvy Gator baseballer and the others would have one less person to scrum with.
There is a lot of truth to that ! I may have overstayed my welcome here . Got some self evaluation to do . We will see where I’m at in the morning. Too damn old and set in my ways for u young guys .
Johnnie Walker - dominated midnight madness scrimmage and never heard from again transferred to MISS St
You'd be surprised how many of us are over 60. Self-evaluation is usually a good thing. Different perspectives make Gator Country better.
I always check to see if you posted. Hope you hang around. You seem like a good guy to have a drink with, if I drank.
Okay, here is my "plan". Plan A: sign as many top-quality HS players as possible and coach them up. And make sure you have a balanced roster (White's greatest fault). Plan B: when you have slots available, sign transfers to fill out the roster. Plan C: When Plan A and Plan B seem too distant, sign who you have to sign to fill up the roster. That means using international players. Because in the end, winning games and making inroads towards the program is all there is. Losing nobly is NOT a good recipe for long-term employment. Where I don't feel confident in signing overseas players is scouting them and whatnot. That takes a LOT of resources to do it well.
I think that Anthony Richardson is our QB. He can injure himself while dancing, not sure I want to see him on the basketball court.
All I know is this -- those teams playing last night were so much better and talented than what we saw from the gators this season. Just some great games last night. and I firmly believe, coaches put kids in positions to win games, but at the end of the day you need the jimmys and joes, you need good players that fit your system to win consistently. and what stood out more than anything last night was the relentless defense. teams got after it, worked so hard on the defensive side of the ball. gave everything they had to every possession.
I should come over, you crack open that 40 year old bottle of Highland Queen you got stashed away and we will work through it..........
I guess Wingtee is correct. America for Americans therefore we should only recruit Native Americans to play basketball.
