In the same frigging world that many of the songs (if you can even call them songs) listed above it are protest songs. Let's see without going any further you have one that is protesting against what? Having to fight for your right to party. Then you have another one that I had to look up the lyrics to because you can't even understand what they are saying that seems to be a protest against whites...if it is even that.
I'm not sure "Fight for Your Right" is a protest song, but it at least has an anti-establishment ethos you can make a case for. You posted fricking "Yankee Doodle Dandy" lol, which is a jingoistic patriotic song. Might as well be droppin' Lee Greenwood "Proud to be an American."
In what world is a bunch of garbage about drafting "niggas" for a war that started 25 years after the last draft took place a protest song?????
At least the 2 WW1 songs had something to do with actual protests against what was going on in Europe at the time and the aggression of Kaiser Willhelm.
I see what the problem is, you just dont understand the concept of a protest song, a lifetime of bootlicking will do that to ya
What a voice. Read somewhere that there weren’t too many females that would do a duet with that voice.
was gonna post that earlier & didn’t because of the OP’s time frame. But hell, if a patriotic jingle from WWI qualifies, this definitely does
