That’s a shame. And it’s a shame they are all now Gator bait. Even if not hitting on all cylinders, we could use them. We need the help.

The longer these people wait to make that call, the more likely Napier loses the players... locker-room... team... recruits.

Why wait until we lose our team and recruits? This is a time sensitive issue and that guy is NOT changing a thing. He knew he needed and OC last year and the year before and he still did NOTHING.. It's now too late and he will also never tweak, change, create new plays on offense.

And his coaching staff has far too many Sunbelt people in it to be effectvie in the SEC. Everything about this coach and staff is micky mouse.

    Like I said... it's not the talent/players.

I guess they want to wait till far fewer people show up for the home games... Yeah, winning strategy...

Technically, but it would have to be coded so we'll just watch and not link.

He was awesome but he was a 3* that came over from Napier. I’m always saying stars don’t mean anything when you step between the lines and he is a great example of that. I’m talking our overall recruiting for over a decade. Our oline recruiting has been very bad. We’ve had a few great linemen in that time but if you look at the 12-15 we’ve had on the roster through our coaching cartel, they’ve all struggled getting highly ranked linemen. I don’t care if they are all 3*s if they can keep Mertz or DJ on their feet.

Most of them aren’t doing much and a handful have.

But in this world of coaching, as in Greek tragedies, every man has a tragic flaw, or Hubris, and Billy is no exception.
And I don't believe you need to be a "cold-blooded, cut-throat, back-stabbing, .......SOB". Despite his noble intentions and all
his efforts and preparation in the pursuit of process, his flaw was that he was overwhelmingly convinced of his ability to manage
the game, the clock, and run a play by play offense in the SEC. Clearly a talent he does not possess. The game is too fast for him.
If he had just assigned a talented OC and managed the overall game, things might have been different. But it's time for him to go.
    Good luck BN.

This OC talking point will never die despite the defense being the biggest problem.

True. This defense is still historically bad. However, it is the job of the head football coach to recognize that fact. It becomes even more important that he schemes up the offense to cover for that liability, a side of the ball that is supposed to be his specialty. You now have to play to either out score the competition with an open uptempo offense or play to hold the ball for long, efficient drives resulting in points.
Again, this is the responsibility of the head ball coach to determine the strengths of his offense and adapt based on the abilities of his players.
Billly has failed to do any of these things. And yes I added another L to his name, originally as a typo, but then decided that it is justified after what might happen this weekend!

It was a superlative coaching gem. Also in the running is 1992 SECCG vs Alabama at Legion Field. We were TOTALLY overmatched by their defense, and Spurrier found a way to damn near win it (shuttle passes and giving Curry/Copeland the outside edge and shoving them up the field and out of the play). A masterpiece.

Lack of development too. Why has Austin Barber not progressed since a promising beginning 2 years ago?

S&C program must be bad. Who can they point to as getting better and stronger in the last 3 years ?

You have to get rid of him pronto.

every sports media, podcast , tweet is killing the guy. You know the players are seeing all of this. They won’t take him seriously. Must be canned tomorow

"I'm with the rest of the guys...it's time for a change?" By "rest of the guys," is he talking about current players?

Per Steve Harris, lots of former players pulling for Lane.
