equal rosters, who would you pick if one team was coached by Mullen and the other by Napier? Getting rid of Mullen was still the right thing to do, just illustrating how far we have fallen.

That's why we're beating the drums as loud as we can now so that no more time is wasted than already has been.

Mullen 100 times out of 100. Yes, we screwed up not getting Kiffin 3 years ago. What he did at FAU was admirable work.

And it was from day 0. The guy that couldn't see that should not get the chance to hire another football coach at UF.

    Omnipresent

Cornelius Ingram- coach at hawthorn highschool would do better. 45% of the people on this board would do better. Literally anyone that plays NCAA25… the guy is in way over his head. I actually kept hoping it was really a talent gap (some of it is) and that we’d hit the tipping point where his process would work (it won’t because of core flaws in his play calling, communication, articulation and motivational skills

Yes we do. But fire isn’t a sufficient condition. Will Muschamp had fire and look how that turned out

I can't remember many coaches in the modern era that enjoyed their time at Florida when they left, including Spurrier ("I guess ten win seasons are no longer enough at Florida."). Yes, there is a limelight here, but that limelight is not always a good thing. The next coach we hire will be the 8th head coach since 2000. Not sure any other major program goes through as many head coaches. The job is a pressure cooker.

I don't think we're exponentially worse off than we were three years ago and with the portal roster change can be quicker than it has been historically. We might not be championship caliber but competitive and fun to watch should be on the table relatively soon.

C'mon bro. Don't put Kiffin and Muschamp in the same conversation. We're trying to improve the team here.

We have a brand new football facility, stadium atmosphere, Florida recruits. Those would be how I would sell the school. The foundation is there, just need the leadership. I’m biased, but I’d rather coach and be successful at Florida than Mississippi or Oregon

Curious to know from those in the know, what are the realistic chances the UAA hands Urban Meyer a blank check and he comes in mid-season to save the recruiting class? And of course, I don't even know if Urban would do that, but money talks...

Spurrier made that comment in the era of 11 game regular seasons, a very telling observation at the time

I am a Gator to the core. I graduated in ‘96. The bottom line is that we are all biased when it comes to our program.

The reality is that Oregon (Nike money) and Ole Miss (Kiffin’s daughter goes there) are more relevant than we are and they have enough money to keep their guys and pay players.

I would be shocked if Dan Lanning left Oregon due to the financial backing he has and I think that Lane would play us for more money. College football is the NFL without salary caps. The golden rule is in play. When you are paying $18 mil buyouts you don’t have the gold.

Keep repeating that as we wade thru the hiring process and names of interested coaches begin to surface.
