What coach would you like to see UF go after and hire? Any names ?

Kiffin or Lanning. Money doesn’t matter in this sport anymore. Get it done

The only proven names out there are Kirby Smart, Lincoln Riley, Dabo Swinney, Ryan Day and maybe Steve Sarkisian. None of those are leaving their jobs anytime soon. Maybe Dabo would want a change of scenery, but he doesn’t like NIL so I don’t think he’s going to be as successful. He’s already peaked. The wild card would be Urban Meyer, but he’s never really dealt with NIL and the transfer portal and he likely won’t want to unless it’s for his dream job at Notre Dame. This leaves poaching a coach who’s been successful recently which has Lane Kiffin at the top of the list. I’m not sure if he will actually leave Ole Miss and just use UF as a bargaining chip for a big raise.

Down an NFL 1st round QB and WR not to mention the other talent that left when Deboer did. Seriously?

There are TWO players from that team still there, not even close to the same team. Way too soon to consider him as a candidate but make no mistake, he is having to do a complete rebuild.

    1. Drive Billy and SS to the very edge of Alachua county in the middle of the day.

    2. Make SS fire Billy

    3. Then fire SS

    4. Leave them both there to walk back

I totally agree. I’d love to have Kiffin but why would he leave Old Miss?

Kiffin’s buy out is no where close to Napier’s. It’s 4 million if he leaves before December 31st.

He’ll never win a national championship there. It’s been proven that you can do it at UF.

I keep reading this kiffin/Mullen comparison and don't see it. Personally I never thought mullens record was all that.

Mullen had 1 10 win season in 9 yrs and a losing sec record. In only 4 years Kiffin has a 10 and 11 win season and a winning sec record. He will no doubt have a third 10+ win season this year. Kiffin may not be the pick but he has a far better resume than Mullen in my book.

That's how it used to be, with a 12 team playoff any team with a pulse will be getting in and have a shot.

Maybe, but he was living in Boca Raton. That’s a vastly different atmosphere and culture than Gainesville. I hope he would come here, but I think he’s content at Ole Miss.

If my taste buds hadn't been ruined by our game I would say that FSU losing to Memphis to start 0-3 for the second time in 4 years after having an undefeated regular season was pretty damned delicious. Too bad I lost my taste buds.

The option set doesn't look great right now. Kiffin and Drinkwitz probably have the best resumes, though I'm not really sold on either. Then there's Fisch who some will want just because he's an alum but meh. Klieman has won at smaller jobs but always after taking over a good situation, plus he's not the offensive guy people want. Chadwell has won at smaller jobs and he's an offensive guy but one wonders why he hasn't had a big(ger) job yet.

No easy answer and some luck will be involved no matter who we end up getting.
