Lol what??? That's the reason we hired a "good guy" head coach in Billy... who cares if he is a "good guy"... the question should always be can a guy coach.... and in our case it's "can a guy field an explosive offense and can coach.. trying to hire a "good guy" will keep us hiring the bad coaches that have no business getting the job... I've been wanting Lane as our coach for years!!! He's a Gator head coach through and through!!!

 

I agree I think the order should be new president new ad new hbc. It’s weird that soon we will have interims in all three positions.

No they arent. It may be individuals but yesterday the lbs were blocked where they stood. They never moved terrible performance. No play recognition, filling the hole, didnt under cut o-lineman just statues. We made tam OL look like the great wall from 1984.

we have built the team leadership wanted and it is the wrong design. How many of our defensive 11 could start for othet teams in the conference especially the front 7. We are plodding on the DL ZERO speed and quickness. Scheme isnt the issue as much as lack of teaching technique. We cant attack bc we cant move/run in quick bursts. We do everything horribly if at all.

 

It is a beautiful country and the people are amazing. I would love to retire there.

Also I love that Lane isn't a traditional "good guy"... Billy is SOFT and his softness permeates throughout the team!! How the hell wasn't he losing his mind on the sidelines after that BS targeting call yesterday I will never know.. he's the worst coach we've had in the modern era by far!!! At least Muschamp would show that he was emotionally invested!!!

The fire needs to happen ASAP, the hire is going to take some time to happen. At this point its everythiing in between those 2 events, that the controlling authorities really need to be focus'd on.

We can't seem to cover anyone whether it's the safeties or the dbs. I realize it doesn't help that we can't get any pressure on the qb. And, even if we do, the qb breaks out of the pocket and throws to a wide open receiver. I keep wondering if it would be better to just cover like you used to do in your backyard games. I've got him. You have him, etc. At least it simplifies it for the players who seem to be confused on what they should be doing.

I have historically not wanted Lane. However, I've reconsidered.

I recall that there were reservations about SOS before he was hired because he also had a habit of needling people and wasnt seen as a traditional HC.

I think Lane will always do that but he has also matured immensely.

 

I agree. You don’t call a meeting on a Sunday morning just to fire someone who amounts to a middle management employee of a company. They’re addressing something much larger here. I think Stricklin and Napier are gone, that much seems clear to me. The meeting is probably a discussion of who to appoint as interim AD and interim HC as well as setting a timetable to hire a new AD.
