I am honestly glad to see improvement and will cheer the team through the end of the season, hoping for the best every time. But in the history of all non interim Gator head coaches, Napier only has three guys below him with worse winning percentages. And he could still drop below one of them by the end of this season, depending on how things finish. This is the worst winning percentage for a UF coach in 75 years. And now recruiting is ranked as low or lower than any of us can remember with less than four weeks until ESD. That is extremely poor, regardless of what he inherited.

im not convinced that boosters have ruined the class like you are. We weren’t even in the running for any top guys and that speaks to issues with winning and belief in the coach. Usually the money issues occur at the closing table.

Yeah, it's not like a vote of confidence from the AD has ever been swiftly followed by a firing...

How on earth is a 14 point loss in which we won the TO battle and were outgained 455 to 228 considered improvement? The expectations have been brought so low that performance is being praised.

I don’t have a suggestion. I’m just a fan I’m not the AD and I’m not getting paid for my opinion. I would say if they’re not going to fire Napier they should use that 25 mil or whatever it is for NIL because we won’t have any good commits after going 4-8 this year

Trying too hard here. If you've seen our games this year and have a modicum of understanding of the game of football then it's obvious why Saturday's performance would be considered improvement. Again, we don't need silly hyperbole to make the case for firing the dude.

It’s hilarious. Hey, apparently we would’ve won the Tinerc game as well even though we know we lost it because Billy is a moron

More excuses for ole Billy Boy re: Recruiting.

Are we really going to act like recruiting is the way it is because we aren’t opening up the NIL pot? This class wasn’t looking good before the season started and then we got pantsed by Miami and A&M AT HOME.

These kids and their families aren’t stupid. They get access to these coaching staffs. They see a coach that’s 15-18 and 1-10 against our main Rivals. Why hitch your wagon to that when you can go to a different school with the same amount of money being offered?

When will this lame coach be held accountable? Dude’s gotten the most resources out of any coach we’ve ever had and has by far the worst results.

in the SEC we are ranked - progress was made, but still the big picture isn't great.
11 of 16 teams on scoring offense
15 of 16 teams on points given up per game

12 of 16 teams in total offense
14 of 16 teams in total defense

Has he? Just wondering how the whole Gator Collective NIL may have impacted the program. What a dumpster fire that was from both a PR and financial perspective.

UT has implemented a talent fee on football tickets and The Volunteer Club hosted a weekend long Morgan Wallen concert, with proceeds going to the NIL. Maybe I'm misinformed, but it seems like UF has some catching up to do in NIL.

If it was good enough to land the current crop of talent (DJ etc.) then it should be good enough not to be second to last in the SEC. NIL may be the reason UF can’t break top 10 but it’s not why the class is crap now.

Hey, at least we're not like Georgia where half the team is out on on bail.

Not sure that would give any recruit much confidence. They need to say he's staying at least until his contract is up. If they say they give him next year and you are weighing your choices, the track record is more likely to continue to underperform and then he gets booted. Either cut the cord or go all in.

You disregard the very important 2nd sentence that gives context to the first. I also don't think you understand what hyperbole means, as I am very serious about the insanity of how low the expectations are.

Second sentence was just as nonsense as the first. Beating the #2 team isn't lowered expectations, and that's what we were on pace to do before half the team got hurt. There are actual good arguments for firing Billy, idk why people latch onto stupid ones.

no doubt, if he said this ""Ultimately, when it starts to work and you play toe to toe with some of the better teams you start to believe," he said. "For the first time since I've been the head coach here, we showed up and we believed we could beat that team."

i'd fire him on the spot! are you freaking kidding me!

I think being happy we were able to give UGA a good game is lowered expectations. Crazy as it may sound, we actually expected to beat them not so long ago.

A bad argument huh? As opposed to the good arguments for keeping BN consisting of, well we coulda won if ________. The recruiting class will come together if _________. If we had ________'s schedule we would be undefeated. Billy Napier Mad Libs are fun.

Calibrate your mind around the shifting landscape wrt salaries, nil, portal, ESD, plus realignment etc. The job is exponentially different from 4 years ago using $ alone to justify anything against uf historically is folly.

The fact that we are living thru the renovation is the stressful part. The walls are up and the roof decking is on. Rebuilds take time, energy and perseverance flips take lipstick and dont usually address the rot that isnt uncovered because it would make the project a nonstarter financially
