    Holy shit!!
Phillip Bailey just rocked my world.
At the arena and this is one of the best performances I’ve seen in a while.
Lionel Richie up next. I feel like @ValdostaGatorFan reading about corrupt cops right now.
    This shit is popping off!!

I hope Valdosta will take your comment with a giggle, and not a frown. I actually giggled at your snarkiness (not at you Valdosta :)). Philip Bailey is 73. Did he have a full EWF type band and what kind of tunes was he performing (obviously RnB)?

Let us know if Lionel Richie enters the stage on a Rascal scooter.

Speaking of old songs, me and my friend always used to have an argument over whether a song the gator band played circa 1988 was la bamba or twist and shout. It’s weird that they could be made to sound the same, but here we are.

I think this was a threat but The Greatest Night of Pop was a fantastic documentary on the making of We Are the World.

Lionel was the man, and surprisingly, so was Huey Lewis.

Phillip Bailey put a couple tears in my eyes tonight. Holy shit that dude is not human.
That dude is so freaking amazing. He hit notes like he did in the 80s. Baileys son also sang with the band which was pretty cool.
They played all the hits and Lionel Richie had an impossible act to follow.
    Love these guys.

You’re gonna get kicked out of your conservative social circles once they find out you like anything other than country music

Saw Lewis open for Buffett just before his hearing issues became public. They were still a very clean and tight band. Absolutely great live.

I already said it before that you’re a closet Libbie. You got too much swag to be on the other side with the opps.

If memory serves, that was an arrangement of Twist and Shout. You're on to something here, as both songs share the same chord progression, harmonic rhythm, & general melodic shape.

Saw Huey and the News in Orlando in 87. Robert Cray opened for him. Both were phenomenal.

Saw the Commodores before Lionel left to go solo. Great show as well.

You should have joined us in Jax a few weeks ago for Little Big Town, Chris Stapleton and George Strait.

Country music, cowboy boots, and pickup trucks make me nervous. It's the equivalent of how you'd feel walking through the south side of Chicago at night with a MAGA hat on.
