Without Castleton we are nowhere near a tournament team so I imagine Kugel and Richard want to make the tournament next year. The others are not difference makers besides Reeves if playing under control.
Can we build a team around Aberdeen, Lane, Fudge, Richard? Or will they be part of the defection? Sounds like it will be another piecemeal roster next season.
With rumors the players weren’t excited to play in the NIT and now the great exodus beginning, I feel they all were trying out for whatever team will take them. Sad, but there was no team ball, only lazy passes, no awareness except maybe they didn’t get to shoot again this time down! Let them take their selfish ways with them. If Will Richard leaves, I will be disappointed due to his early maturity on the court. Riley is the star here and if he leaves, it means we aren’t taking care of our best players. Wow, our rivals are eating this up. CTG Is going to have to live in the portal again but hopefully he can bring in some studs. Playing in the NIT is not what gifted players want to do so don’t force them into a money grab for UF, pretty pathetic state of college basketball but the powers to be in college basketball have sat on their hands and are waiting for someone else to make the rules. Only the cheaters will survive. The NIT is dead to me, we should be recruiting and meeting with the NIL people to see how we can overhaul a broken program in this sesspool that college basketball/football has become.

Tough situation for next year as I'm not sure the high school recruits coming in can make an impact which leaves you the portal again. TG has some serious work ahead of him and I sure hope he can find a way to land some elite players not just roster fillers.

Hoping for a quality point guard, big, and wing in the portal. I also hope Trey Bonham stays because I still think he's got the ability to become a good high-major point guard.
What high school recruits do you speak of? We have one 3 star committed and are last in the SEC in recruiting.
I just wish this kid could have gotten some consistency. He is so talented athletically. Maybe he shouldn't have cut the hair.
