If they are openly admitting it, it sorta shoots down the term "deep state".

Also note that the majority of government employees polled said they would support the administration. It was a very small % (government "managers" making over a specific income level) that said they would push back.

It is a left leaning polling service though so the data is likely valid.

    Couple things to think about:
    1. I’m not sure how you can actually poll enough civilian workers in the Federal government to get meaningful numbers. Seems like a very, very small sample size.
    2. I think almost any GS 9+ employee in the NCR makes above $75k due to cost of living. So I’m not sure how you can define them as managers.

Given 1 and 2, this looks to be a poll aimed at finding respondents in federal service that would be willing to say they would work against Trump. I’m not sure how much credibility I would give it.

It was people in DOJ, Republicans in various states, and in the WH at the end of trump1 that helped ensure a transition occurred. (Deep State = people doing their job).

This could also be interpreted as “people unwilling to break the law for Trump”.

So in other words, the premise and title of the thread is entirely inaccurate, if not outright deceptive.

I think the biggest thing will be to get Kash Patel confirmed as FBI director. You put a guy like that in charge of the lead criminal investigative apparatus in the country and certain bad actors are, at the very least, going to be less enthusiastic about utilizing shenanigans to obstruct the Trump agenda. And then of course, you line up Pam Bondi behind him as AG, so there's a vehicle to bring the charges swiftly. Until the bad actors are held to account at a criminal level, there's going to be this issue of the deep state. And it can't just be for show. But I think Patel is quite serious about rooting out the deep state.

This will take some time, but we have the benefit of a 10 year appointment of Patel and if Vance or another GOP wins in 2028, their AG can work alongside Patel to finish the task. It's imperative for the sake of our union that the deep state be dismantled.

What makes this hard to believe is that people think that the President has the time or interest in getting into the weeds in all these departments. Unless it's some high level broad brush policy, the activities of the guy in charge of maintenance at the IRS building, is not going to see a change in his day to day.

Seriously doubt that the person in charge of running the National Park Service website is going to do something to "stick it to Trump".

Silly thread. People do their jobs like always. If you ask them will they support policies they think are illegal, like insurrection, of course they will resist.

Never mind the Deep State coming after Trump, he’s putting them in his cabinet.

In fairness the polling service is rated as "slightly left". Not even sure that means anything, but it isnt a conservative pollster with an agenda at least.

The whole 'Deep State' claim is pretty silly. Just another way for one side of the aisle to feel victimized.

It basically means the unelected bottom-feeders, who suck their way from administration to administration, who wield outsized influence and who are hard to get rid of.

Do you deny such people exist ?

The entire Con platform is to manufacture "boogymen" as significant threats that must be defeated.
