Seriously? I just watched the whole opening ceremony got to that part just now and it was a fashion show where the observers started in the iconic last super arrangement for a brief second at the beginning then melted away to the fashion show in seconds. Tooooo fuuuuunny.
Over the top? Yes In poor taste? Yes A bad idea? Maybe A vast conspiracy to indoctrinate people? Of course not. While it didn't bother me, I didn't particularly like it either. When I saw it, I thought this looks like "Emily in Paris" on steroids.
As usual for right-wing media, this video has been edited and truncated, so viewers don't know the context of her comments. Never trust edited, truncated videos on right-wing media. They are designed to misrepresent what you're watching.
It is only Bud Light if it comes from the Bud Light area of St. Louis. If it is from elsewhere, it is known as "water beer."
The people most outraged probably didn’t watch or react in real time anyway. They just let their outrage porn peddlers tell them what to be angry about. Definitely the weirdest ceremony I’ve seen, and I completely missed the controversial scenes. Lots of references to worst opening ceremony ever and “#stoptheboats” lmao. I wasn’t really thinking that, of course I can never grind through a full opening ceremony anyway (definitely never watch the full athletes procession), so it’s not like it’s ever something I’d pay close attention to.
I guess not everyone is included in “Faster, Higher, Stronger – Together” Why allow a small eclectic group to deliberately insult the religion of 2.4 billion? To NBC’s credit they did edit that specific clip out of their prime time coverage.
The thread started out great with people actually condemning what is clearly a shot across the bow to religious people. I don't believe in God so it doesn't really bother me at all. Funny thing is though the same people posting (irrelevant retort pictures) are the same people trying to champion Trans right and want to flame anyone that dares say anything bad about or make fun of anyone in the LGBT community. Kinda funny that you all want something but refuse to act accordingly to how you want yourself and others to be treated. At least some on here can form their own opinion outside of political BS. Others.... you guys need professional help.
As expected, this video clip lacks context, because it was intentionally altered to make her look bad. Look at the source!!! (My words, not Reuters.) https://www.reuters.com/fact-check/clip-harris-calling-young-people-stupid-lacks-context-2024-07-26/ VERDICT Missing context. The video snippet has been shared without the context that Kamala Harris was advocating for young offenders’ rehabilitation.
Look at you fact checking and everything! Im proud of you RT Theres almost always some BS behind claims made around here. BOTH SIDES.
