Fox is certainly milking this story for everything it can. Top story on the website including four or five more. One on what one of the actresses in "Full House" thought about it. Another on a former MLB pitcher declaring that it'll be the least watched Olympics in history because of of it. Oh, and there's also a headline "Harris' 'blizzard of lies' exposed!" But it's really just DeSantis saying she's really liberal.
The recurring theme around here is that you go way overboard on everything. Party over country? Typical Trumpean projection. Before you attack me, read my thoughts about this subject in Post #43.
And that is one of the problems. Fox focuses on controversy as a way to enhance viewership. It's why half the country thinks we have a terrible economy when in reality it is doing well by all measures and outperforming any other nation.

Oh, good find, that was posted at 4:00pm Friday, which means it was probably live tweeted Paris time… blows up @tilly ’s claim they made up the God of Wine story after the fact as damage control.
She was playing a DJ with a turntable setup in front of her. But I think the halo-like hat she was wearing is why so many people assumed she was representing Jesus.
She was obviously playing DJ Christ and his 25 apostles, as depicted in the famous DiVinci painting, The Last Fashion Show.
Fox News has now topped MSNBC and CNN for 38-straight months among total viewers and for 39-straight months during primetime. Fox News averaged 1.3 million total day viewers, "The Five," which recently finished the first quarter of 2024 as cable's high-rated program for the 10th straight quarter, averaged 3 million viewers to finish as the most-watched show in cable news during April If half of 330,000,000 people in the U.S. believe anything it's not due to Fox News.
Americans become furious over symbolism they don't understand because they're ignorant of European history is kind of hilarious ngl.
The last 3-4 pages of this thread include several observations that they may not have parodied Jesus at all. I tend to agree. The lady in the middle had a DJ turntable in front of her, which is more indicative of a fashion show than a religious gathering. I think her hat with the halo-like extensions is probably what brought us all to this point.
I see your point. But those millions of viewers go around telling their family and friends that the economy is in the toilet, which is clearly BS. Then, they in turn pass this BS around to all their family and friends.
That tweet is dated Friday at 4pm, so it was almost certainly live tweeted, given the time difference. I watched the open ceremonies on live TV in Florida, which ended around 5:30.
