Nijel Pack would be an interesting prospect if he gets a medical waiver for a 6th year. Would prefer someone with a bit more size and versatility, but I would think losing Clayton/Martin/Richard means utilization is the top priority.
All this is interesting speculation and analysis, but personally I'm totally focused on the Final 4 and our opportunity to win a national title.
More important is hiring two assistant coaches that will solidify the return of our core for next year.
Here’s a nice article by CBS comparing the recruiting of the final four teams. Looking at the star ratings of Duke’s players compared to Florida’s is pretty funny. March Madness 2025: How Duke, Florida, Auburn and Houston built their loaded Final Four rosters
Pretty confident that was already lined up before he announced. Dude was in the portal four days. No visits. Four Zoom calls. Just like our portal guys are probably already lined up ...
Condon will go pro if he plays lights out the next two games (we will beat Auburn), where he hits a few 3-pointers and isn't being pushed around in the paint like he was in the second half vs Texas Tech. I do believe he was compromised from his banged up ankle and wasn't at 100%. On another note, how many times have any of you guys watched the March Madness app of the last 5 minutes of the Tech game, starting at 71-61? I've watched it at least 20 times, and get goose bumps each time. The commentators' adoration for Clayton, Jr, their speaking so highly of the Gators overall are such a joy to hear! There's the crowd going nuts after each 3-pointer, the Texas Tech players tossing their arms up with a WTF??!dejection look after each of the last two Clayton, Jr 3-pointers, the Gator women cheerleaders jumping up and down after each shot made... PRICELESS Go Gators!
Our transfers are at least all 4*. My hope, though, is that if FL gets a chance to play Duke, that our seniors will take those whipper snappers out back and give them the good spankin' they need.
I got a disagree bacon from audiojim. That, IMO, is just worthless. There are 10 different things in my post that someone could disagree with. Jim, if you have something that you disagree with, say what it is.
Just want to see if I have this straight … if Condon plays lights out (and hits a couple threes), he is gone next year? You might want to check your sources on that one but we’ll see. Also, not sure we need Condon, a 33% 3-point shooter, firing up threes on Saturday night.
