TFG's evaluation of player's is something I never worry about. With the year we had, it should play out nicely.

My WANTS to get great players are based on facts... derived by considerable thought. It's not like I said that we WILL get the next Clayton and Martin. Wanting them is not the same as me saying that we will get the next C&M duo.
To my knowledge, the only guy we've taken with multiple transfers on his his resume is Rishwain, and that was because he played for Golden at SF. Peterson shot lights out last year, but has bounced around a bunch, hasn't been the most efficient kid in the world, and only has on year left. Sounds more like we are just kicking the tires on him. But he does fit that profile of high usage rate guard who can score in multiple ways.
Rishwain had a pretty good season at UNLV this year. His best game was a 26-point outing against San Diego State.
Sure. Not saying he was a bad take. He was also still recovering from that nasty knee injury. My point is that we don't have any history with multiple transfers outside of one kid, who happened to play for Golden previously.
I think there's a better chance if Condon were to go pro. If not, I do wonder how he fits. Was hoping he could play the 4 some this year, but never seem comfortable defending out on the perimeter or stepping out of the paint offensively. Decent scorer in the paint, good offensive rebounder, decent rim protector and defensive rebounder, but not much of a jumper and didn't seem comfortable passing or handling the ball.
Im hoping we leave 1 spot, maybe 2 open for the "full cycle" of the transfer portal. I remember when Chaz Lanier came open LATE like 2-3 weeks before signing right up the friggin road at North Florida last year but knowing we had exhausted our NIL money for that cycle by all reports, but I still drooled at his 3 point lines on his stat sheet and highlight videos. That obviously materialized in the SEC this year. And at 6' 5" he was yet another piece that could have played the 1-4. Obviously it still worked out for us, and I like Urban a lot, but there's still the dreamer part of me that imagines what if we had that guy as the third head of our three headed monster at guard. (And I hate that he's at Tennessee even more)
Per 247: In the first three days of the 2025 college basketball transfer portal window the number of entries is already nearly half of that from the entire 2024 cycle. According to national basketball analyst Travis Branham, more than 1,100 players had entered the portal in the 72 hours since the window opened Monday morning. The sheer volume of talent on the move has reshaped the landscape with many big-time prospects already making decisions and more high-profile names expected to follow in the coming days.
New Mexico transfer Donovan Dent is the best available prospect after entering the portal Tuesday. The Mountain West Player of the Year averaged 20.6 points and 6.4 assists per game this season as one of the top scorers in all of Division I. Dent immediately earned five-star status as a transfer after being a four-star recruit coming out of high school. The 6-foot-2 junior guard helped the Lobos to the NCAA Tournament. However, his departure preceded that of coach Richard Pitino, who filled the vacancy at Xavier.
