Unless Condon goes to the NBA, we're set in the frontcourt, as I don't see any of our other bigs transferring out. Isaiah Brown, Kavzar and Aberdeen will be in the mix for guard play next year, but we definitely need to bring in at least 2 high quality guards who can shoot. We do have 2 4-star guard signees, but who knows if they'll be ready for prime time their freshman year. That tandem of Clayton, Martin & Richard have been awesome and will be really hard to replace.
We’ll see. Hartman was the big connection there. Thomas is terrific off the bounce, scores in the paint, and facilitates very well. But his shot and his defense aren’t the best. Main thing is Golden just has to stick to his eval process. With guards, that’s high usage rate without high turnovers first, then fit. Good thing right now is that Golden can afford to be selective. He’s earned that right with his success this year, kids will want to come to Florida because of that success, and we will be more competitive with NIL. But I would far rather see a chunk of that NIL go to keeping this team together and rewarding those who make sacrifices (like our bigs splitting time).
We have 7 big men coming back if no one leaves. It seems to me that the time has come to move Haugh to the 3.
I was just having this discussing with my daughter's boyfriend. There doesn't seem to be a good reason why Haugh shouldn't be playing the 3 next year. Talk about a big lineup with Condon, Chinny, Haugh, Zelly and a point guard from the portal. 2nd team of Handy, Alexis, Ingram (?) Brown, Klavzar or another portal guard. What to do with Ollie and Micic? Will we have too many bigs or do those two ride the pine for another year?
If Condon comes back, definitely. His play the last two months has really caused me to come around on this, Would give us the length Golden wants, and Haugh has proven he can shoot, handle, and pass well enough to run our offense. If Condon doesn’t come back, I think he stays put. There really isn’t anyone else on the roster who can do what Condon and Haugh have at the four.

Wow, that's interesting. He's one of their best players. Since they haven't shown Hubie the door, I'm guessing Cadeau's doing this at the urging of his agent, just to up his NIL money with UNC.
Can we get someone in tomorrow on a 2 week scholarship? Pitino's crew is at home. We've had good fortune with his former guys over the years.
