    and its not the buyout.

    House vs the NCAA agreement

starting in 2025 Schools can start paying players directly up to 20 million across the athletic dept. We know the bulk will go to football.

So on top of the 25 million dollar buyout for BN and the 10's of millions to buyout and hire the next coach and staff. UF will need to raise 20 million immediately to compete for players on top of NIL money.

    Different coffers.

I will be surprised if that money is not split pretty evenly across the entire athletic dept, which won’t really be THAT much per athlete. Like less than 50k. I also think that this “cap” they’re trying to institute will be shot down by the courts in short order.

Very soon we are going to be bringing in around $250M annually in revenue. The money will be there to do what we need to get done.

We got the cash. NIL from the collective will supplement the basketball and baseball and smaller sports. But if 95% of the $20m direct from the school isn't going to the football team, and 80% of the NIL collective also doing the same, then we are doomed. Are we a football school? Or are we a Stanford Olympic school?

I do not believe title nine would allow the school to distribute the money that way. The collectives or other NIL entities can distribute their money however they want, but the school can’t.

Let the lawyers fight that out. We have to provide women's sports, but we don't have to pay them to be there, or to be good. I care less if we finish last in soccer, softball, swimming, track, anything if not giving them NIL helps us win football which is why the UAA gets their revenue to start with. If Karen from Starke wants to play soccer for free, great. Enjoy Karen!

Lawyers want a piece of the sweet money pie of college football, so they have their elected puppets make it easy to claim these players as employees by demanding direct payments to the players from the universities, essentially codifying player employment to their respective universities.

This is an attempt to circumvent the courts and their ruling on the amateurism of student athletes in college. This is a power grab by these House members.

My understanding is the 20 mil comes from a revenue split and not boosters and collective. I imagine this is where that TV money comes in handy.

Yes it does, but that was still money allocated to support something else before the House agreement. And now it will have to be replaced and the likely source will be booster donations. Which will take money that might have gone to NIL or some other program. which will take money from.......rolls down hill.

This should have been done last January! May have when CBN named Calloway as Co Offensive Coordinator. Clearly, CBN didn't get the "meaning" of the demand as demonstrated by his retention of play calling duties.

The 20 million to the players is already happening. It’s just going to go through different channels. I have a feeling the same peoples bank account will be taking the debit also.

Didn’t we try that with Muschamp? I think we need a clean sweep.
