As I stated in my post it's all about the money and putting fans in the seat.

“Pushing the view of mainstream GOP supporters being violent”?! Are these fans that attend small wrestling, gop mainstream? And was that the point? The main point I gleaned is how more intense politics is now getting.

But per you mention, gop violence, or specifically maga……..Jan 6th. Trump supporters were full of rage and violence and beat LEO men and women. People died. And they did their violence for their leader. Is that violence across maga? Why are they so violent? Maybe maga violence should be investigated.

I'll agree violence has become a major issue since the lock downs and the mantra of divisiveness in our political elites which bleeds into the populace. To state the maga crowd started this mess is a myopic view in my opinion. The day former President Trump took office the violence began in earnest with those opposed to his election. The democratic politicians as well as the democratic base, social media and MSM became enablers of the behavior we witness today. Now CNN refuses to acknowledge what they themselves helped create and continue to push their agenda of good guy bad guy blaming it all on maga supporters which is far from the truth of the matter. Not a single one of these outlets has offered a solution to stop the madness. Nor have our politicians.

"James lays down some rules to try to keep the crowd from turning ugly – there’s no criticism or banter about the Bible or the opioid crisis in these towns."

So that's where the line is drawn. Probably safer.

Ahhh, the good ole days of Gordon Solie and Championship Wrestling From Florida on Saturdays. Monday night wrestling at The Orlando Sports Stadium, later known as the Eddie Graham Sports Stadium.

I can’t remember which night they were in Tampa.

There's an asymmetry problem here that you conveniently overlook to try and "both sides" this issue.

This OP made me laugh, but then it got kind of sad/disconcerting to realize the extent of convicted stupidity too many Americans share. I love the concept, it's brilliant. Just sad that some in these little wrestling "dives" would actually take it seriously.

There is precious little to distinguish wrestling from anything else issuing forth from the idiot box these days. Bread and circuses.

    True story…
There is a really nice hike not too far from Stickleyville, called the Devils’s Bathtub. Huge site for locals in the summer because the water is nice and cold coming down from the mountains. Anyway, went one time, and people were literally smoking cigarettes on the hike to it.
For a long time, I have wanted to have a retirement home in the mountains, seeing the people there, as nice as they were, made me think about making sure where I end up is more compatible with the world I am used to, because it was a very different world down there.
Side note, Abingdon (the largest town down that way) is slowly becoming a bit of a cultural Mecca in that part of the world. Kind of a mini Asheville, nice little town.
