Fine, I disagree with your take but don't really care. Your just arguing for the sake of it. My original point as to states rights stands. Im out.
Naw, I hate Tennessee more! I don't love the NCAA, but I love UT MUCH LESS!!! I will just say this, what Spyre and the Volunteer Collective did was ensure top dollar for Nico and that Tennessee would be the lone bidder. What they did was wrong on every level, but it looks like the NCAA"s reign is coming to an end!
I agreed with your original point about states rights as far as passing laws differing laws to address the issue. Perhaps I don't understand what your comment that FL "reversed course" on its original law meant. If you would explain what you meant by that perhaps I could craft a more cogent reply.
Reminds me of that U.S. Government Program where they would provide chicken farmers big checks for purchasing new birds. "Money for nuthin' and chicks for free." Mark Knopfler would have been proud!
I agree. I just makes sense to expect the worst thing possible out of UT - and her verkakte fans. Afterall, they do richly deserve it with their history of hypocrisy and turpitude. A pox upon them and their checkerboard overalls.
Totally agree but if they actually enforced reality, all schools, at least the ones recruiting any decent players, are all in violation. Very few kids, if any, are actually generating money for boosters through NIL. They are just writing fake contracts for players to play football.
This shit of picking and choosing who they give penalties too needs to be over. Make some enforceable rules and enforce them.
This is an interesting take by this Vol guy on Ali Peek. If you are a BN fan--brace yourself; if you want to Billy to go--you will like His remarks! If you hate the NCAA, you will love what he says!
I do find it interesting that the NCAA investigation of UF over the Rashada situation didn't seem to interest the SEC commissioner very much. I don't believe he commented on it at all. However, the NCAA investigation into UT seemed to concern him greatly and he publicly ripped into the NCAA. Some things never change in the SEC.
