Honestly, probably a massive upgrade at least in terms of potential. Buzz is a great coach, but he's just great and a known quantity at this point. And honestly I think its his system. It'll get you in the tournament and give you a pretty good chance at the sweet 16, but not further. That's because it's far too prone to a team that can outshoot their physicality/emphasis on physical post play for a deep run because as you go deeper in the tourney, the more likely it is that you will run into one of those teams. There's a reason I always pick any team Buzz coaches to exit in the sweet 16 or earlier in any bracket I do regardless of matchups. (And will do the same with Maryland as long as he coaches there) If Texas A&M was gonna take the next step, this was very necessary IMO
5yr coach, all at Samford. A&M is likely hoping they've got the next CTFG. Can somebody explain what Hoops suggests about contrasting styles? Obviously A&M under Buzz was a brutish and slow defensive team. Is Bucky more of an up-tempo high flying offensive guy? Haven't seen any Samford games.
