What happened is the Republicans in the legislature tried to add an amendment to ban them from boy's restrooms, and it was defeated. There was never any specific mandate they be in there.
No, it just says school district must make a plan to distribute them to all students who need them. Seems like the best way to deal with this is have maybe one unisex bathroom on campus to accommodate the possibility of a trans male student… it’s not hard.

This section is effective January 1, 2024. The attempt to put girl's rooms, female, only into the bill language was opposed by the sponsor as stated in post #13 and signed into law by Tampon Tim. These products have been installed in both boy and girl restrooms.

I believe there are some other Minnesota state laws which in effect force the school districts to provide these in boys restrooms as well. Of course, Walz knew this before signing the legislation. I'm not sure why the libbies are so up in arms over this. Own it. Walz clearly did it and there are clearly tampons being stocked in boys restrooms throughout schools in Minnesota.
If that is what the local school board decides… that is how it would work. But the simple solution is having a couple unisex single-user bathrooms …. Problem solved. Not even sure why smart people like you can’t figure out easy solutions.
Asked and answered. Minnesota, Wisconsin too, are woke with pronouns and gender identification in schools. Girls identifying as boys go to boy's rooms. The children and schools don't even have to tell the children's parents anything about what is going on with children's genders and what they are being taught in the schools. To deny this is happening in blue states is the height of hypocrisy. I'm sure I can find and actual school board plan that reveals this as it went into effect in January 2024, but why bother? You won't believe it anyway.
I’d probably not find any fault in how local school boards dealt with it, as long as it was fair and protected privacy. But what does that have to do with Walz? He signed a law where I’m sure 99.9% of the tampon are going to female students, in female restrooms, and gave local control to the school boards on how to deal with possible trans male issues. Not seeing the problem.
I find it interesting that this has gone from being false without any proof to being the truth with proof that rivergator doesn't like. Not to worry though, all that truly matters is anyone is better than Trump.
