So as the fans are storming the floor last night against Auburn he says: "You're not gonna keep 'em off the court tonight!" Some will remember the famous line by Auburn radio voice Rod Bramblett after the kick six won the iron bowl over Bama. He said "You're not gonna keep'em off the field tonight!" Bramblett and his wife later died in a tragic car accident. That call has become an immortal tribute to Bramblett. I found Ark's somewhat mocking tone last night to be in bad taste. Am I misreading it?
I’d say so. I think if anything it was a great call by Bramblett and Arky guy wanted to use it in an exciting moment that happened to be against Auburn.
I don't know, but I thought it was really bad that as soon as the game ended, Arky turned off all the lights as started some fireworks, as idiots were spilling onto the floor. Very dangerous situation, especially for Auburn. Aren't you supposed to be fined for sh*t like that?
No real thoughts on the radio guy, but never been a fan of storming the court and it seemed like Arky admin was in full support of the postgame mob scene. On the other hand, Auburn stomping the Arky court logo pregame was pretty crappy and not surprising.
I remember what the ole ball coach said, "Florida will never storm the field because we expect to win." or something close to that.
Yes. At pre-game, I head that Auburn was dancing on Arkansas' logo at mid-court. That's disrespectful to a program with a great basketball tradition like Arkansas: i.e, multiple Final4's and a national title. Auburn is just a "Johnny-come lately" and their fans act like that they have arrived when in fact they have never done anything in basketball. In their 1st SEC defeat of the season, Auburn got what they deserved, lol!
This Arkansas win was the Razorbacks' first win over a #1 team since 1984 which was against #1 North Carolina led by someone name Michael Jordan. Auburn vs. Arkansas - Game Recap - February 8, 2022 - ESPN
