Perhaps that is how you feel but a good chunk of MAGA doesn’t. As I see it - MAGA is not about ideology at all, it’s about Trump. Trump likes Putin, so Putin/Russia is ok. Trump was impeached due to a call with Zelenski, where he wanted dirt on Hillary and Biden. So Trump not a big fan of Ukraine and thus neither is MAGA.

MAGA is not at all complex. If someone likes and praises Trump, then Trump likes them, and MAGA likes them.

What agenda does MSNBC say that is? It’s all nonsense.

To be fair even before he invaded Ukraine I thought Russia and Putin were scum. You can’t trust Ukraine either but I respect their sovereignty.

Advance to 1:55 and apologize to @PITBOSS. Those weren't CNN reporters clapping for Russia and chanting "Putin." They were what passes itself off as today's Republican party.:

Then why hasn’t aid to Ukraine passed? Because of Trump.

Even guys like Lindsay Graham who is a neocon won’t vote for Ukraine aid if Trump doesn’t want him to.

MSNBC didn't have to anything. For Trump's agenda just Google the terms, "Trump" and "NATO" along with Republicans and aid to Ukraine.

I find it laughable that a guy with a last name of Fuentes is a white supremacist.

That’s a pretty scary bunch. MTG on the other hand is completely incoherent. What she said made zero sense at all. She was railing against separation….to a group of white supremacists, and saying communists were for separation.

I'm cool with it. They actually invent military hardware that is some of the best in the world. They should have joined a long time ago, IMHO.

Sorry - longest peace among major Western European powers since literally the Roman’s and Germanic tribes were running around. But to your point, the fact that we have Russian aggression makes the treaty even more important.

the war in ukraine broke the streak for all of Europe and notably… Ukraine was not in nato.

NATO existed when they invaded a European country (and annexed Crimea, started a low grade war in Donbas, and took part of Georgia), this would seem to refute your entire thesis, but maybe that's just me. I suppose you could believe Sweden and Finland were next, but given their troubles in Ukraine against a weaker military on more favorable terrain than those countries, it would be hard to believe that too. Gotta keep that Cold War juice going.

Maybe we are venturing outside what people think of "Europe" but we could also check in on Armenia and Azerbaijan, the breakup of the Balkans states ,etc and see how European peace has fared once NATO became the only club in town. Maybe you could argue that there was more peace when there was a Warsaw Pact?

NATO moves 24 countries east and that’s defensive. Russia moves four oblasts west and that’s evil and rapacious.

Ultimately, if we want to avoid war and guarantee peace, shouldn't we just make every country part of NATO? That would seem to be where the logic of "bigger NATO" leads us right?

Speculations that Russia is crushing the American proxy mostly with its older weapons is because it fully anticipates a direct war with a largely disarmed NATO.

The addition of their diesel sub forces to NATO cannot be overestimated. Yes, I know they are diesels but a diesel sub in congested waters is an absolute PIA to track. And diesel boats are really the best underwater option in the shallow baltic. Add in the fact that their boats are extremely sophisticated and manned by a force with over a century of underwater experience in the baltic and you have an incredible asset.

Idiotic narratives never seem to die. Especially, when they involve President Trump. It's TDS, I get it.

Trump actually expanded NATO twice. Beefed up military support in the Baltics and sent the first U.S. weapons to Ukraine after Obama refused to do so.

I'm sure Trump is so pissed about this Sweden ascension.
