The thing that got me was the ruthlessness by Urban. Throwing guys off the team on the tarmac, woo buddy. The man did not play! My favorite person on there was Siler, that man is that dude. Him telling Meyer to get it together during the nat’l title game was something. Spikes was great as well, he acknowledged his faults as a freshman and sophomore. Honorable mention to Ahmad Black for his feelings on Georgia alone. I ditto his feelings on them.

A lot of the documentary seemed scripted to me. It would be impossible for Meyer not to know who Tebow was.

Best of times to be a Gator, until it became the worst of times. Certainly enjoyed it and in particular the Siler-Spikes show. Why that Bama ball licker Finbum had any part was the only downside.

I never knew that two guys got thrown off the team while the plane was on the tarmac in Gainesville...or if I did, I forgot. Does anyone remember who they were?

DUH!! He was already a player at UF so he could eat at Urb's house every night if invited. There is a reason nobody said anything.

Re: why Urban flamed out. He was a hyper competitive person who had to win or he felt like a failure. He took all of it personally, had anxiety and didn't handle the stress well. I feel bad for the guy, because if he could have found a way to deal with it, he would be the man.

    Great coach.

I loved it too, very insightful look into the team. Best line in the whole documentary was Amahd Black “ Can I cuss on here? I HATE GEORGIA!”

why would Meyer agree to a script that makes him look like an idiot?

I just finished watching the series and thought it was a fair depiction of those years. I was particularly impressed with Ahmad Black. He is a really articulate dude. I can't stand Finebaum!!! Watching Spikes lay out Moreno never, ever gets old. I had to go to a wedding that day and only saw that first series. I remember thinking, as I pulled out the driveway, that we had come to play and the Gators would win the game even without the help of my go-to superstitions.

Siler was a LEADER OF MEN. Man, people would line up to play with that guy.

I wasn't at UF during those years, but I also pulled for the SEC in the championship games and hated Ohio State. I was a lot more of a southern chauvinist when I was in my 20s. I was living in South Austin at the time, and I remember deciding to get a burrito after OSU scored that first touchdown because I figured I was just going to get my heart broken.

By the time I got back to the house, UF was full on kicking that ass. The rest is history.

I never thought I could soften up a bit on Meyer, but I have to admit this series really made me look at him differently. Like getting back to my house back in January of 2007, it was a nice surprise.

Loved it. So great to relive those glory years. Its a flawed story as MANY of the issues werent address. The creators could have totally trashed the program and really aired a lot of dirty laundry. There is another documentary to be told for sure, but as a retrospective around simply winning ..it was great!

Yep, we're supposed to accept the "bad boys" as part of Miami Football's identity and shrug our shoulders when Miami and FSU fans are quick to highlight the off-the-field issues of the Urban era.

Here's the truth, the closest thing to a clean championship team in Florida was the 1996 Florida Gators. Every other championship team from Miami, FSU, and Florida had some off-the-field shade tied to it. Every single one. I don't know how true this is around the country, but I know it's true for the Florida schools.

Maybe I'm cynical, but I believe when it comes to college football dynasties, it's really a matter of how much the media is willing to look the other way. At least before NIL, no college football dynasty was clean. The question is if they had the media's favor to the point they'd look the other way and/or they were clean enough to get away with it.

Considering Leak's sterling reputation at Florida, I find it hard to believe. The girl withdrew the charges, so as far as I am concerned, it didn't happen. But sadly, Chris seems to be a non-person these days...

Wonder why? Style of offense? Tebow liked running with the rock and trucking linebackers - that wasn’t part of the ‘fun n gun’

It’s flawed because they didn’t make it about trashing UF? Coming from you this does not surprise me
