Crazy to think that if he didn't leave the sheath behind he'd likely have gotten off scot free.

Yeah… he’s going to have to come up with something like that, but that would mean he’s the most unlucky person in the world for all that circumstantial evidence to point his way and then the real killer used his stolen knife… don’t think a jury will buy it.

Is Idaho a death penalty state? He’d be smart to try to work a life sentence plea deal…

I guess I wrongly thought even if you turned your phone off that they could still track you. But the fact that he had apparently turned his phone off during those hours is alone pretty damning. Wonder why he took it or even left it on as much as he did.

local PD stopped him in proximity of the crime on a previous occassion

this dude is cooked. he isn't as bright as he thought he was.

father knew something wasn't right. listen to the second Indiana stop conversation. takes a weird tangent

read rumors of postmortem mutiliation that appeared that at least one victim was a personal issue and the remainders may have been residual rage or possibly wakened during attack

Idaho college murders update: Bryan Kohberger affidavit reveals roommate saw killer and DNA found on knife sheath | The Independent

One of the roommates who survived the quadruple murder of four University of Idaho students saw the masked killer leaving the home after he told his victims “I’m going to help you,” according to chilling details revealed in newly-released court documents.

The survivor, identified as D.M. in the documents, said she heard a man’s voice saying something to the effect of “it’s ok, I’m going to help you”.

Looks like some pretty solid work by law enforcement here.

Also commendable that nothing was leaked out to the public until they had what they needed.

The killer's cell phone was detected 12 times at the address between June and the night of the murders. It's all in the affidavit....

That's not what it says. It says his cell phone registered on a nearby cell tower 12 times over those 6 months ... cell phone towers can cover up 50 square miles ... seeing how the murder house was 15 minutes away from where he lived, I'm not sure that's evidence of stalking, or just means he occasionally drove in that direction. Not defending the guy, but I don't find that evidence to be convincing of stalking.

This story doesn’t follow? If the roommate saw this person in the house that night and knew he didn’t belong there and was further scared how the heck did the dead students not get found till noon the next day?

Missed this the first time, but it appears several hours after the murders, he drove back to Moscow ID and was in the same cell coverage area as the murder house for a few minutes before driving home. Classic "returning to the scene of the crime" event? Again, they can't pin point his exact location, but something else to pile on...

"Further review indicated that the 8458 Phone utilized cellular resources on November 13, 2022 thsl are consistent with the 8458 Phone leaving the area ofthe Kohberger Residence at approximalely 9:00 a.m. and traveling to Moscow, ID. Specificaily, the 8458 Phone utilized cellular resources that would provide coverage to the King Road Residence between 9: 12 a,m. and 9:21 am. The 8458 Phone next utilized cellular resources that are consistent with the 8458 Phone traveling back to the area ofthe Kohberger Residence and arriving to the area at approximately 9:32 a.m"

Yeah, I pointed that out above... she was so scared that an unknown masked man, dressed in all black, was in her house at 4 AM that she froze in panic, and locked herself in her room after he left ... but didn't call the cops? And didn't' check on her roommates? I'm going to give her the benefit of doubt here, maybe she wasn't thinking straight, but that seems really odd...

I was questioning my memory, but an ABC News article I just pulled up reflects that the 911 call was at 11:58 a.m. That does seem really odd.

more and more chatter about increased violence and mutilation directed at one or two of the victims alone with the cell phone and video showing him following one of the victims

Bryan Kohberger stalked Idaho victims before murders, wore gloves in grocery store weeks afterward: report (msn.com)

Bryan Kohberger was often in the same location as Kaylee Goncalves, Madison Mogen, Xana Kernodle and Ethan Chapin before he allegedly stabbed them to death.AP

“He followed him into a Giant [Pennsylvania grocery store chain] and wore gloves the entire time,” the source reportedly said of his investigator pal.

“Not sure if they ever interacted – but his cell phone pings followed their every move for weeks,” the source reportedly said of Kohberger’s alleged stalking.

Had the same thought. I wonder how many screenwriters (other than me) have already read the affidavit. Probably even more producers and development execs.
