Most serial killers don't kill four at a time. This guy was determined and motivated, and willing to take extreme risks. If one victim had a gun and wasn't the first person attacked, he could have been killed. Most serial killers go after people one at a time because the risk of being caught or killed is much lower.

I don't see any difficulty getting a conviction if there is DNA and other physical evidence.

Wasn't referencing serial killers specifically, more the memory of campus murders than anything.
Far too early to jump to any conclusions , no motive, no weapon and limited evidence have been offered up. Could have just been a burglary gone bad, could be more, but the guys criminology background is an interesting sidebar.

Philadelphia police had been following him for 4 days according to article- I’m interested in how he was developed as a suspect. Lots of Elantras in this world.

His Elantra might have been one that was turned in, and when police went to his last known address, they could have discovered that he evacuated in a hurry with no explanation of why from neighbors (or a strange story of his escape). That would have had them contacting the university, finding out where he was from, and then they would contact local or state police in Pennsylvania.

Look at his eyes. He’s definitely got the look of a killer, glad they caught this vile demon. Vermin like this need the guillotine treatment.

I am ambivalent about the death penalty. This kind of guy needs to be permanently separated from society. I won’t have a problem if he is executed or even taken care of in prison.

Has any connection been made between the suspect and the victims?

Not to my knowledge but yesterday in an interview I heard one of the fathers say that the behavior of “the victims” had changed right before the murders insinuating some type of perceived threat. I think this guy was on the fringes of the group was somehow slighted my one or more of them and being a psychopathic goblin he killed them for it.

I don't know if they can convict him of anything at this point. He has a really impressive defense. He says he's "shocked" and is "eager to be exonerated". If he was either shocked or eager to be exonerated, then they might be able to convict, but with the double whammy of being shocked and eager to be exonerated, I don't think they can get a conviction. I don't think even O.J. used the "shocked and eager" defense.

The Idaho killings suspect is 'shocked' at his arrest and 'eager to be exonerated'

well, when I was younger and atheist occasions came (all too infrequently) that a gorgeous woman wanted to hook up with me I was both shocked and eager, so,it isn’t without precedent.

More background. Kohberger was basically encouraged to not return to a brewery/bar in Bethlehem, PA after making inappropriate comments to waitresses when no one else was around. When confronted by the owner of the bar, he was "shocked" and denied everything. The bar had a computer system for notes by waitresses on customers.

Suspect in Idaho killings had made 'creepy' comments to brewery staff, customers, owner says
