I agree, however maybe Ruiz needs to realize the best way to protect his ass in this saga is to keep his mouth shut.

 

Maybe Rashada’s side was fudging numbers, misrepresenting offers? Nonetheless, I cannot see how NIL funds in their infancy could have offered millions.

 

A contract is posted in this thread if you’d like to look at it. You could assume that it’s been doctored or completely fabricated, I guess.

If Ruiz is telling the truth, then the 9.5 numbers from Miami are not accurate.

 

They should have known that 13 is an unlucky number. If offered I wouldn't accept 13 of anything. (Well, almost anything.)

 

If our NIL even intimated we would actually pay millions, it deserves to be bankrupt and probably why it was dissolved.

I never had blissful ignorance and knew what it was the entire time yet I think liked it better before. To me, it isn’t the money as I always knew that was how good recruiters got the signatures but this portal crap with no semblance of security is too much

Listened tO Edgar Thompson (Pod up with Shane Matthews yesterday).
Based on Edgars comments, it does not sound particularily good.

I am no lawyer but it seems (somebody on UF's side) may have some real culpability should this go to trial. I didn't believe the "numbers" that were flying around when this went down but apparantly it was not fiction.

Internet is already full of "they just want to settle with a check" commentary. What do you think "Kirby" and the UGA administration want?

A settlement or a show trial to keep the storm hovering over UF. Hell, I bet UGA tells the Rashadas, sue em, lets have a trial, we (UGA) will bankroll you until it plays out.

Edgar was kinda "freaked out" about the insanity of NIL and the "bidding" wars. Based on Edgar and Shanes conversation it really does seem to be a "auction" going on out there AND ITS FAR WORSE than people realize.

Feel bad for UF, we will continue to be the poster boy for NIL "gone bad" with this situation.

Considering the hate the SEC and the NCAA have for UF, I imagine the Gators will be made the example of and heavily penalized by the scum bags that put this non regulated, corrupt, lassiez faire cut throat capatalistic,

I understand you answer. To a large degree I agree with it. However, this guy is so sleazy. Trust me, one day he will go down hard. Unfortunately, he will take many people with him.

 

Ruiz has proven to be full of shit. There is a $13 million contract in writing. If I had to guess without any evidence, I guess Ruiz is full of shit.

 

No I don't. The problem is that when he finally has to take a fall, he is going to take anyone he has dirt (real or alleged) on.

You are probably right but I settlement is looked upon as admitting guilt. Years ago my dad paid over $2000 traveling back-and-forth to Atlanta to be the speeding ticket that cost 250 bucks. Sometimes it’s just the principal.
